Thing is, what statement is he making "I am a petulant child"?

And did you miss THIS line?:

"This is actually TONS of fun and I am thinking of getting even more seasons"

If this is his way to bite back at WIS for a subpar hiring logic, then I don't see this as a bad thing.  How else is he going to get back at WIS?  He's just to grin and bear it just because it's more convenient for the rest of you?  How effing selfish are you guys.  Get screwed like this guy did, then get back to me, until then, let the man make his stand and deal with it as he sees it to be appropriate.  It's funny how high and mighty you all get when something eventually doesn't go your way via another user.

I don't really care what the TOS says, he paid for the seasons, it's his team and as far as I'm concerned, he can do whatever the hell he wants with it.  If you're ****** about conference RPI, tough, you should back your peer in his stance against the hiring logic policy instead of turning your back on him.
Colonels, do you not get the fact that these actions are NOT getting back at WIS. Not hurting them at all. Only hurting his conference mates.

If he was doing something that actually hurt WIS and didn't hurt his conference mates, then even though it might still be wrong or a clear violation of the TOS, at least it would be a two-sided issue. This is clear as day -- not only is he wrong, but the only people he's screwing are those in his conference.

This guy clearly violated the Terms of Service.  He should be immediately banned from all WIS games and the team should be restored to it's original state and set as a SIM.
I have made the post season for 25 straight seasons and I intend to make it 26 and you think I violated the TOS? Please explain that to me or do think that I did not win enough to be 4th in DI in all time wins? Go **** yourself.
Wise, by posting that you're showing that you don't understand the issue here.

No one is disputing that you've had consistent success there over the years. Everyone I've seen has agreed that you have a right to be annoyed, and that you have a right to express that. That's not at issue here. No one is arguing about that.

What's being said is that the way that you went about it was totally selfish and doesn't even hurt WIS, only your conference mates. And that it violated the TOS and was totally classless.

Good to see the morality police are still around.  Question, where were all of you two seasons ago when Coach sag didn't recruit for Maryland in Wooden and left them with 10 walk-ons?  Don't remember a thread then.....
The morality police. That's rich.

Sorry, but I'm not always aware every time someone in every world acts like a petulant, ridiculous *******. Your question/comment is moronic. This time I was, so I called him out on it.

If his intent was to take a big, steaming pile of crap on his conference mates, then mission accomplished.
Yeah, the morality police.  It's his team, he earned it through promotions in the first place, he can do as he sees fit.  If someone doesn't like it, report him to CS.  If they find something wrong, they'll take the appropriate actions.  Until then, quit crying.  No different than someone picking up a FreeHD team, using it to scout for their real team, and ghostshipping it, except that it's a "name" school.

Jackass, classless punk, moronic.  Who is really the angry one Daalter?  Or is it okay when you use those words?
Does it make me angry that wise did what he did? Yes it does. Does it make me angry that coaches who should know better would even dream of defending his actions? Yes it does. (Although I suppose angry is too strong a word; nothing in HD is really important enough to make me angry, but I think both are ridiculous.)

And by the way, I'm not "crying". I don't even have a team in that world, let alone in his conference. But I am exposing something he's doing that is totally wrong, selfish and classless, and detrimental to those around him.

Not to mention the fact that you're flat-out wrong -- he didn't earn the right to run his team in a way that clearly violates the TOS.

Then, as I said before, let someone report him to CS ands let them handle it.  If it violates the TOS, then the situation will be dealt accordingly.  If it doesn't, then everyone needs to move on.

Funny, you never mentioned the TOS angle until someone else did so first.  How come?  And yep, I'm implying EXACTLY what you think I am.......

I'm in wise's conference and have no problem with what he is doing. He wants to make a statement, so be it. Our choices are either a slow decline as the Cuse turns into a multi season ghost ship, or straight to the crapper. If I miss post season with one crappy conference team, it's really because my team isn't good enough. This way he'll be gone in 2-3 seasons, and the cuse will start fresh.
Maybe you guys should get his conference mate's opinions, huh?  Here's at least one of the other eleven who doesn't mind........

Well said, by the way, Trey.

emy, have you seen that show "What Would You Do?" It stages fake situations that call for innocent bystanders to step up and say something/help out/etc. Some people do stand up, and others just ignore it and go about their normal day.

Has your place of employment convinced you to pick up a "Stop Snitching" mentality?

So, Colonels, if you don't care about the TOS, you think that anyone who has a disagreement  with you should be able to violate the terms of any contract they have with you and it will be a - ok?

I work in a prison Daalter, snitching can be VERY dangerous.  I've seen, firsthand, throats cut because of it.  So, no, I don't snitch.  Ever.

And before any of you "lawyerly"-types try to call me out for an early post about reporting the situation to CS, notice I said someone, not me.  I've got NO problem with wisefella's actions, whatsoever.

Trey said it best a few posts earlier.  If one bad team causes him to miss the NT, his team probably wasn't that good anyway.  It'll all work itself out gentlemen, be patient (that seems to be the mantra around here anyway, "Give it a few seasons to cycle through......").

I know you work in a prison, that's specifically why I asked you the question.

So I see where you stand now. You'd be one of the people on "What Would You Do?" that walked past and just went on with your life. I'd be one of the people that spoke up and helped. I'm totally comfortable with that. Sounds like you are, too.

I had nearly the exact same thing happen to me in Smith earlier this year. I was only a season or 2 removed from a National Championship, I'd pulled Wake Forest up to a solid A+, and my dream school Indiana (finally) became available. I thought I had it. I SHOULD have had it. But hiring is a mess. The coach of B-prestige So. Miss, who hadn't done anything special but had gone to a S16 the past year while I was a R1 flameout, got the job instead -- in spite of the fact that by any other calculation than last year's NT result, I had a huge advantage over him.

So, I got enraged, threw my toys out of the crib, sent WIS a nasty note and quit at Wake. Quit the game entirely for 3 months or so. Just needed to cool off a good long while before I could come back and play again.

You can definitely say I understand how Wise feels. Oh, I've been there.

But that said, there is ZERO excuse for burning conference friends and the whole world you play in by dynamiting a top program. It doesn't hurt WIS in the slightest. It sure as hell doesn't hurt Fox -- I don't know if you could find 5 people in the organization who even remember that they bought the company a few years ago (much less have a clue as to why the powers that were then, who are all now gone, might have bought it or what they ought to do with it now). But it SCREWS innocent people paying money to play a game.

Also, have to say that perhaps the single least-shocking thing I've heard in a while has to be that Furry stridently defends classless behavior. Surprise, surprise, surprise . . . .

Daalter, the only thing you know about me is what VERY little I've posted on here.  Do me a favor, huh, leave the psychoanalyzing to a qualified professional.  "Helping" and "telling" are two entirely different animals.  Night and Day, as you like to say.  You have NO idea how you, or anyone else, would react in a given situation until the situation presents itself.  You say you'd speak up and help, I say you'd cry like a little girl with a skinned knee.  Guess we'll never know.

Since I'm one of the people who would just "go on with my life", explain to me why I just wasted my time then, two months ago, trying to help give CPR to a man who had suffered a massive heart attack (he died, by the way, but not for lack of us trying to help).  I'll be waiting breathlessly........

I really didn't think it was possible for Daalter to become a more self-absorbed ***** than he already is, but this might take the cake.

Daalter interjects himself in a conversation revolving a team that is (1) is not his, (2) is not in his conference, (3) not even in his world.

As the Daalter-created controversy is discussed in the thread, no real discussion takes place because Daalter makes sure to post twice for every post that counters his opinion.  Of course, he wins every argument with these three words, "You are wrong."  No viewpoint to his could possibly be reasonable.

And then Daalter then proceeds to change the tone of the thread to let all of us know that not only is he our intellectual superior, but he's our moral superior as well.  Myself and the others that post in this thread would see a rape taking place and simply put our heads down and walk in the other direction.  Only Daalter has the moral fiber to do the right thing and stop the rape.
