Seems we discuss the Lottery every couple Drafts, but never come up with anything better.  Always open for suggestions, as the League belongs to everybody.  Keep in mind though, not every season has an "obvious" worst team.  We've had several cases were there's been quite a multi-team battle for the most ping-pong balls.  I can come-up with lots of possibilities, but honestly don't like any of them more than the established way.   

Trust me I was obvious worst this season, and with what I am going to get I am obvious worst next season.  If this happens again next season I will still be easily the worst.  I realistically have nothing of value to trade that would make someone give me something that would change my fortunes.  Last season I had 17.3K minutes next season (if I remember right) will be simliar.

Look I hate to ***** and I can understand that I got a bad team, but if I can't improve a team realistically it gets very old.  I dont mind getting screwed, but I would appreciate a little lube.

The protection should be put in place for when a team has a horrific season, or at least has more the one dead last seasons.  I can see why the guy who had this team dropped it because he knew he had multiple bad years coming.  I am not saying other teams should be penalized and forced to trade with me, but something should be there to insure that when you have multiple bad seasons (THAT AREN'T MY FAULT) that you are protected so you want to stay in the league.

Look I am not saying that if I had Penny or Webber I was going to be immediately a contender, but at least there would be hope that I could win A game next season and possibly  have hope for SOME future on my team. 

you could always trade this seasons first round pick along with your first in 94-95?  that way you acquire 1/2 building blocks and avoid this same scenario.?

Then I will accept offers for this years number one (fourth overall) and/or next years first.....

Lets see what happens.

Since steev has not opened any site-mails, I'm going to say he's done for good this time, and we need two new owners.  Given that, would anyone object to a Keeper Draft between malone and the two new owners, so they are all close to equal?  Malone did take a hopeless team at the last minute, to keep us going, so the least I can do is ask everybody before moving forward.  Whoever gets 1st selection in the Keeper Draft would get pick 16 in the actual Draft, with the person getting 2nd pick in the Keeper Draft getting 15th regular pick, and the 3rd Keeper pick getting regular Draft pick 4.  As the only incumbent, malone would get to pick which he's 1st in, or if he wants middle.  Feedback please.

Correct.

i think this is a great idea - however, is this something that can transpire over the course of one day?  it would be a shame if we have to wait a couple of weeks before the new season

I've always been a fan of lotteried groupings. 1st-4th worst records go into a lottery for the 1st-4th picks, 5-8 same, 9-12 same etc.
