52 Mil Draft - Rosters, Commentary Topic

Yes Scudmissle. When it came to my 24th and 25th picks I was in hell. Because even though I am very happy with the combo of Bellamy and Thurmond, I am such a Stockton fan, that if he was available it would have been Stockton and Bellamy instead. The other thought I had was Duncan and Bellamy. Then as I got closer to 72nd and 73rd it got worse. My favorite player of all time is Dr J. I never thought he would go as late as he did, so I got my hopes up. As far as Frazier goes, I wanted Lever, or some combo of, Lever Doc, or Lever Bobby Jones. As it turned out I think i'm doing O.K. Any thoughts you or ashamael or the others might have would be appreciated. Thank you, SIXERNUGGETS.

well Bellamy looks ok on paper but there's the curse to consider...

gotta love felonius's team so far - gonna absolutely crush the boards on both ends with Moses, Dampier, and Marshall and has plenty of threes so far. Gonna be interesting to see who the PG is here, as assists is the only major weakness so far (gonna need a ton from one guy)

yes now (relating to the earlier discussion) the road has narrowed and I  have painted myself into a corner of sorts (metaphors were made to be mixed)- the good thing is that there is an answer (several in fact) and everyone between me and my next pick already has a PG drafted

(but also Im not using the Paul Pierce you think I am I'd bet - Im going for the slightly higher usage 9 fta per 36min version with 16% as%)

Tarheel's got the perfect guy to pair with Malone.
Now if only he had the right Malone.

you don't fool me, monk... your guy is definately still there, and i'd wager an ounce of gold i know who you're going to pick...  just like i know ash's next pick (if he's still there). old favorites are hard to pass up this late in the draft. haha.

Well I don't think my pick of Stoudemire was too bad. I could afford a mediocre front court rebounder because of Rodman and my guards rebound pretty well. I needed his FTA's and 59% FG. Wish his D and fouls were a little better, but he does fill 2 big needs and I've seen him play really well lately in the SIM. My 5th pick of Martin may seem a little odd, but I think in a 52M league you really need a good bench and Martin is a stud off the pines with FTA's and 3's galore. With my low 6th rd pick he wasn't going to be there. There are about 10 players I'd be happy with plugging in starting at either the 3 or 4. So I'll see which one falls to me in the 6th and go from there.

deductive reasoning always gets me into trouble, coach... hope it works out for you. but amare was a solid choice!

Ya I know scud, but another thing I had to consider was that Gino doesn't play but only about 30min or so. I had to have a strong back up at that position. Wouldn't have made the pick in a 42 or 47M league, but in a 52 you better have a couple studs off the bench. I also don't think I'd have made the pick if I picked high in the 6th round. Just trying to have a little foresight is all.

Nice picks, coach. FWIW, I had both Stoudamire and Worm in the last league. Great combo (of course they didn't help me vs uva but that's another story). I'm a bit surprised Amare lasted as long as he did.
