Well, when I typed that, I was going on the presumption that an emergency in this case would be something along the lines of...
"Juice, my wife's water just broke and I'm getting ready to take her to the hospital now. I'm up next but I don't have time to make my pick. Be back on as soon as I can."
You know, something along those lines. Of course, in the case of an emergency, we won't always have an "advance notice" so after 24 hours of not hearing anything, I just can't assume there was an emergency and, therefore, the draft can move on to the next owner.
It's a sticky wicket for sure but I know of no other way of doing it.
