Who cares if Tim Thomas goes to the White House or not?  Bruins fans are certainly allowed to have an opinion, but outside of Boston, this should be a non-issue.

The exact same thinking goes for his "sabbatical".

As a Leaf fan, I have enough **** to worry about (like 44 years without a ******* Cup) than to give Tim Thomas or the damn Boston Bruins 3 seconds of my mental energies.

3 pages of "debate" on what should, outside of the Boston area, be nothing but minor footnotes is puzzling.

The fact that you have NO CUP for 44 years has fogged your brain???

Thanks for the brief tutorial on winning, it was really helpful. 

In fact, I have forwarded it to Brian Burke.  I am sure the Leafs braintrust is currently unpacking all of
the wisdom in contains, in order to craft a Cup championship dynasty for Toronto.

My original opinion stands, however.  I don't give a crap about random Boston sports-gossip.

I don't care if Tim Thomas ignores step 2 of your blueprint for winning ("You win the cup=You meet the president at the White House!!!").

I don't care if Tim Thomas needs to take a year off to reconnect with friends and family, or recharge his batteries, or whatever.

I don't care if Tim Thomas is a flake*, disliked by his teammates.  IT'S NOT FRIGGIN' NEWS OUTSIDE OF MASSACHUSSETS!!!!!


* This, espeically, is not news.  A hockey goalie is flakey?  Holds weird or obscure opinions?  <shocker!!!!>

P.S.  Your own Greg Campbell was kind enough to bring the Cup home to Tillsonburg, so all of us hapless Leaf fans could
go touch it, take our picture with it, stick our babies in it, and whatever the hell else we wanted to do with it** as long as we paid
our $10 donation to Tillsonburg minor hockey.

No worries, mate!

Sometimes it is fun to come on here and blow off some steam...to go on a bit of a rant, to speak.

I can't do it at work (I'm a teacher), I can't do it at home (too many little kids around), so these
boards are a place to vent my frustrations from the day.  (And being a Leaf fan, believe me, I have
frustrations!!!)

We have been rebuilding for so long, I can't remember when we started.  

What am I supposed to think when I turn on the Stanley Cup Finals, and see Alexei Ponikarovsky taking
a regular shift for the Devils?  The same Ponikarovsky who was supposedly not good enough
to play for the Leafs...who needed to be moved out so we could get "better".

To see Tukka Rask putting up such good numbers with the Bruins, while the guy we got from Boston for him
(Andrew Raycroft) is nowhere to be seen?  (And goaltending, according to the experts, was one of Toronto's undoings
this season.)

So my friend, everything is all good.  I have lots of laughs on these boards, and take it all in the spirit of good fun.
