$20 M in advance scouting is the absolute truth... Topic

I could tell that with zero.

Assumption is the mother of all fuckups.  Statement holds.

My advance scouts tell me that 2U23L is a moron.
What evidence do you have to back that up? Other than the obvious that he is indeed a moron, that is. Do you base that on him asking for input and then rejecting that input? Because he can't figure out who is actually calling him a dumbass? Because after admitting he doesn't know the answer, he is confident that anyone disagreeing with his erroneous assumption must not know the answer? Because he thinks scouting has the remotest connection to disliking cash in trades? So many possible reasons he's a moron. Maybe if we all combine our scouting money we can determine which is the real reason.

You don't need advance scouts for current ratings.....

What do your advanced scouts tell you about future ratings?

Seriously though, 2U23L, you should not need proof.  The case has been made that the error lies in your initial assumptions.  Your "carfax" is case history, generoulsy given to you by experienced owners.  Instead of trying to make the game play the way you want it to, I suggest you learn to the play the game the way it actually is.

All the information you could ever need can be found in these forums.  The more time you spend reading in them, and not necessarily writing, the better you will be at this game.  Up to you.

Is there anyone else in your world with 20M advanced scouting?  If so, just ask them to exchange projected ratings on a couple of useless career minor leaguers.  If there are ANY discrepancies, $20M advanced scouting can't be perfect, because you clearly can't have 2 different perfect potentials.

What a complete moron i am, i cant even beleive it. I come to you guys for imformation, and you rip me up when i ask how you obtained this imformation.  It was my interpretation that each player has a true value, and that true value can be seen with $20 mil. in advanced scouting. Other than the word "Projections"  there is no instructions that states that this is not an accurate interpretation of the game. Without this imformation i am back to assuming, and back to being ridiculed for such. All of these generous experienced owners willing to pass on thier wisdom must have asked in the begining the same questions i am posing. I sent in a ticket about this problem. I refered whatif sports to this particular post, they promptly answered me with the imformation i was looking for, and that was the comformation that there is indeed a true value to a player that can never be seen. If this imformation is not confirmed by an employee from whatif sports or by Hardball Dynasty instructions, one could interpret this either way......

Because we had it confirmed to us by WIS years ago.

You chose not to believe anyone.

Congrats.

Thats all i was looking for......you need that info right?

Not really.  Many of us figured a lot out for ourselves when WIS was a lot more secretive.

That said, if you're not going to believe the answer, why did you ask in the forums?

You asked a question.  Multiple owners answered it correctly.  You questioned the validity of our answers.  We told you it came from many sources over the years (developer chats, forum discussions, player experience, etc.  You got all pissy that nobody was pointing you to specific posts ("show me the carfax") and opened yourself up for ridicule with your attitude.  And somehow this is everybody else's fault but your own.

Go back and read how this thread developed, and who jumped off the civility track first.

You're probably not a moron, you clearly have some mental capacity to potentially be intelligent.

You're just a jackass who takes himself way too seriously.   This causes you to come off like a moron, thus the thread consensus.

I don't know what your problem is.

You make assertions based on faulty assumptions, and then get all pissy when you are told you've missed something.

Except you are happier than a pig in **** when you get the SAME ANSWER from CS.

No chance that the experience from the hundreds upon hundreds of seasons played by the people who tried to help you might hold water?

And even if you don't believe us, and think we're somehow trying to lead someone astray for some weird sinister reasons, why come back and tell everyone that we were all right?

I'm inclined to think this is an elaborate troll of the forum regulars.  If so, well done.  If not... very weird.

I agree with the first sentence.   I doubt the second is true at all.
