I think you missed the part of my post where I said it doesn't bother me.

I just wanted to point out that you probably turn a lot of people away from the game and some people probably don't ask for help on the forums because of guys like you.  I would think that someone as active on the forums as you are would want to make it more inviting and easier for those people to ask for help.  Maybe there would be less newbie mistakes made then and you wouldn't have to complain as much.

Looking back at this thread, it seems like Mike was giving you good advice.  Maybe it was a little more blunt than you would have wanted, but it was dead-on.  Not sure why you're having a problem with his responses.
I'm not disagreeing with Mike that the trade was bad.  Like I said, I agree now that it was a bad trade after reading everyone's reasoning.

I don't care how blunt anyone is when talking to me.  I just find it funny that someone that is really active on the forums and wants to help people would be as arrogant about things as he is.  If I was trying to help people out I would take a different avenue, but that's just me.

Mike is also misrepresenting my argument.  I didn't ask for advice and then get mad about the advice I was given.  I asked for an opinion on my trade and then actually agreed with the opinions everyone gave.  What I disagreed with was the guy that offered the unsolicited advice that I shouldn't make trades my first two years.  To me, that wouldn't be any fun and I disagreed with him and gave my reasons.
I was just saying that a good idea is to ask for advice from people before you make a trade so that you dont put your team into a hole from the start.  Make whatever decision you want, but at least you have good advice that can help you with those decisions.  Generally people here are quite helpful (even MikeT)  :)

No, I didn't sugarcoat it enough for him.   You have to be much nicer to n00bs.   They're fragile.

FWIW, my buddy better hope the deal doesn't get vetoed.   He designated his stud player, who has no options, about 20 minutes before he asked for opinions.    He could get nothing for him.

But I guess that's just "I want to learn from my mistakes" at play.

Another mistake you can learn from is training budget.    It's pretty much agreed upon by anyone who's played more than a couple of seasons that you need 18-20m in training.
