steelers, your squad looks solid to me.  You are a little weak on the boards, but that shouldn't be as big of an issue as it would be in most leagues.  I would say most of us have less boards than we typically like to have.  You're also a little lite on 3's for my taste, but I love me some 3's.

i like the feel of this team . the efg% is off the charts. there's enough defense to keep us in games. and with 520-3's made, there's enough inside-outside scoring to force teams to play balanced def, which plays into the hands of drob and bird who are proficient scorers at 3 different floor zones.

nance, with his def and efficient rebounding season, will back up drob, lucas, and even bird. i liked this pick the best. damon jones is a 72% perimeter player that hits 45% of those shots. brandon rush adds some def (76), and hits 3's also. the key to this team will be lucas. i am using that great season of his, 56.7% efficiency, great board numbers, high asts, fta's and ftm's are solid. his def is suspect at 50, and he will have to face the likes of karl malone, barkley, garnett, etc. we'll see how he does against those knuckle-draggers.

but i've got the admiral and his 100 def to help thwart the likes of wilt, shaq, gilmore, moses and kareem. and i think he's surrounded with the right players that will dish to him (bird and frazier) to have a great season. game on!

nice scoring efficiency and floor balance - good on the boards but not a ton of D

That is the weakness

fun team. fun offense. funny defense. in a 52 mil league, every team is gonna have a good offense... but how to balance offense with decent def?

your starting 5 is at 102.3% usage, which falls in between the sweet zone of 100-110, however, the 2 big men do not score too much, so, i think opposing teams will set their defenses against you at +2 perimeter, or higher. if you start al jefferson, your usage goes way up if you do not start big ben, but still, within the sweet zone. so, i think u'll have to play with your team a bit to find the right depth chart management. all jefferson is a nice addition to this squad. do you start him, or use as back-up? but he lacks defensive mojo as well.

allen, billups and barkley bring all the tools, but they remind me of the Purdue Boilermaker mascot. huge muscular upper torso, but girly legs. haha. we'll see how this all pans out in a high salary cap league.
8/14/2012 9:37 PM

that season of barkley has to got to be about 70% paint so that will take care of the big man scoring role and his other two usage guys distribute pretty well across all 3 zones - that vers of Allen is a 30-30-30 guy and Billups is pretty close

8/14/2012 9:42 PM
well, that's not what i meant... i was sort of looking at the floor plan (scoring) and not the range plan... head and shoulders (allen and billups), arms and torso (barkley), but likttle scoring from the big men (girly legs). haha

In a league like this which has essentially doubled the talent change the usage?
there is an abundance of 25 to 30 or 4 to 6 pt players.  Do the superior players
change usage or not?
