The attacks are not based on his performance being spot on.

They are worried about the dignity and repect of the event.

Clint Eastwood movies are always kind of a guilty pleasure, but watching him at the RNC made me feel bad for the man, the way you might if you saw and elderly man struggling with something (i.e. senility-type behavior)
