I was surprised Nash, Porter and Allen fell as far as they did.

I've long wanted to try Alvin in this league, but I don't have a good feeling about adding him to this team.  Mainly, I'm short on minutes for a team that can't finish drafting until late in the last round, and I'm a candidate to lead the league in fouls and turnovers despite giving the keys to Porter.

well i think i just locked down that turnover title(and the scoring title?)

but nash was too good to resist...shocked a couple of teams passed on him...porter too

Well, I wouldn't count on anyone outscoring logain at this point. How the hell does Ray Allen fall to the end of the 4th? Did people forget he used to be a late 2nd round pick? I looked at ways to fit him into my team in both the 3rd and 4th and it was just too much usage and not enough rebounding. That 55% efg/24% usage season is a perfect fit for logain. Ward is a good fit too. That team looks unstoppable so far, and there are plenty of good players left to fit into the last starting spot and the bench spots.

Also, vance, you still hoping logain wouldn't have anyone left late to fill out the roster? What you forgot is that the pool of wing players is incredibly deep at this point, which is why guys like Barry and Allen now can fall into the 4th round. The only tricky position he had left to fill was PG, and with all the assists from Wilt and Malone even that wasn't a huge issue. He's more than halfway to a very solid platoon with Ward.

That team is terrifying.

I like what your doing with the backcourt,
Barros, and Wallace, and I like Brand at
SF. But I'm not crazy about Noah and Davis.

I thought some owners were wailing unnecessarily about the trade for Karl Malone, but I wouldn't have guessed logain could net both Allen and Ward.  logain still has to find the right SF to round out the squad, and there are ways to go wrong with it but there should be plenty of good candidates available.

Wilt-K.Malone- Allen-Ward.  There is nothing to suggest that he gave up any picks at all.

I toyed with 3 sf choices.. Took Spoon because he is 98% at SG. He and Ward have Allen covered defensively from both sides. The other 2 guys shoot and pass better but I think I like it. I have about 10 mil left for 4500 mins of backups.

Exactly. And now Weatherspoon.  Not a bad haul.

Logain wins I give up

Yeah like I said there should be a discussion about no first round trades

I really like Robinson, and Kobe, Harper,
and Chandler, nice job on those 4. I don't
like Gus Johnson. Way too low EFG% for
this league. Derek Harper was a good pick
for the 5th round. I don't like Lever in this
league way too low EFG%. Final Grade: C

I think my starters will bring around 15k minutes of:

57.3% EFG
106% Usage
16 usage points
38.6% oreb
95.6% dreb
80.9% AST
9.1% STL
9.3 % BLK
283 3pt
78.6 AVG D (4 guys over 80 and Ray at 50)
Pretty low fouls and To's and a pretty good amount of FTA.

Not sure what the backups will do to those numbers yet.

I still don't think I will win this league by the way. I have never made it to the second round of a draft league playoffs I don't think. I will mess it up somehow.

BUT

I think the draft is deeper than ever with the guys from last year. The 2-5th rounds are better than ever. However, the top 15 guys haven't changed much, other than KD getting slotted in there. So, my advice would be not to trade a top 15 pick. I would however trade a low first round pick for a 2-3 combo.

Logain does look to have the best team. Defense at SG is 51 and that is weak for this league. MJ will tear him up. Also finding a decent back for Ward for 20 mpg isn't that easy.

But that trade was terrible. It shouldn't have been made until uptowngbv knew who was there at 14. Based on what uptowngbv has drafted so far logain's team should win at least 30 more games than that team should this coming season.
11/14/2014 6:38 PM
I don't think Allen will guard MJ. That job will go to Ward or Spoon for the most part. I think I can hide Allen against most teams.
