FWIW, planning on Millsap's "big" season, but it's nice to know the others are available just in case. (Much like KG and Harper.) It's "big" season or bust from the A-Train.

Great stuff man.

Millsap used to be a staple on my squads, so I obviously think you got some good, there, though I always took him in the 5th or 6th for that 2290 minute season. Others are certainly viable now.

16. ashamael - Charles Barkley, Steve Nash, Clifford Ray, Charlie Edge,

ash pulls another rabbit out of his hat. charlie edge is a perfect compliment to this team, like the magician's mini-skirted assistant. keep your eyes on her slender legs while the magician does his slight of hand theatrics under your nose. defense has now entered the picture. I'm sure ash is gonna go with barkley's highest usage season, which I think is around 25%, excluding the partial 27% (sf friendly) season. combine that with nash's 2nd highest costly season (that superb 3 pt% version) and we're looking at hoodini's hoodwinks. there's lot's of flexibility here. can go small with a sg, or big with a 3rd scorer at the 3. either way, there's enough of everything so far (including a deceptive amount of boards) to build another contender. you suck, ash. I just can't figure out what team will not be in the playoffs at this point.

5. cjok1051 - Michael Jordan, Mookie Blaylock, Amare Stoudemire, Larry Nance,

bkbillips does cjok a great favor, and screws the rest of us. nance is such a better fit than boozer would've been. I love nance's 77 def season the best, but there are so many great nance seasons to choose from. I think his 8mil season ranks 4th among the list though. cjok, stop trying to f'k-up the work of art you created in mj and amare. let these guys do their thing. boozer would've been too much of a good thing. mikee always does well in this league because he understands usage very well. sometimes less is more. but with larry N, this becomes a superb defensive squad that can score and play clean ball. a big man is needed that does not foul too much and does not go to the line too much. another very dangerous team is thrown into the mix. this is gonna be a GREAT odl season. nice job, king mosavi. p.s. yeah, nance late in the 4th is an absolute bed-wetter.

19. midzim - Dwayne Wade, Hakeem Olajuwon, Horace Grant, Rajon Rondo,

look closely at this team, like the poltergeist movie where the guy looks into the mirror and sees his face melting. yikes! hakeem and wade, the monsters in the mirror, Horace and rajon, the slipping back into reality phase. as soon as you think all is safe, it isn't. reality really is the monster show. I like this team a lot, especially when the dynamic duo aren't hitting their shots, neither is your own team. this defense is tough enough to make your squad shoot 46%, while they're shooting 48%. gotto go with rajon's top season. 20% usage and 30% ast rate. now, where to find some three's? calling all 3 pt PF specialists. good luck with that one. nice team, mid.

20. jkaye24 - DeAndre Jordan, Draymond Green, James Harden, Robert Parish,

don't get too down on jakaye drafting team killer harden. this is one of the few squads I've seen that harbors a home to harden (like the alliteration there, haha). anyway, this season we will witness a harden rebirth. Jordan, green and parish all contribute solid supporting roles for harden to excel or crap out because parish and green have the ability to carry a squad for a while, even though green's low 18% usage gets in the way. my favorite parish season is his 73 def one. 25usg% and a very clean game with 54% fg. harden is still the unknown quantity here, but I am leaning on the side of not caution, but expectation. now there is some flexibility going forward for a pg who plays clean and dimes just enough to make this team overcome harden's inability at times. another dangerous team, like oxycotton.

Scud - your commentary adds a lot of fun to the draft!
10/11/2016 7:30 PM
thanks, mid. haven't won a league title in so long, I miss doing the evals that come with the crown, so, well... um... doing them anyway. haha. I think I'm gonna tackle my own team next. and yes, there will definitely be a built-in bias.

At first glance I was surprised to see Jason Terry go so high. I really like him in the sim, but I was hoping to see some big money PG join The Dueling Men of Steel and ruin the rest of the team $$$. Still need to make some smart $ picks or this could end up like the housing market in Metropolis back in '08. Boo, smart value decisions. BOO!
10/11/2016 8:12 PM
I wanted to trade down and get Terry in the 5th jh. After taking Shaq and Howard, it's about fit rather than best player available. And with 57 efg, 60 defense, 33 per%, with assists he's a good fit.

12. scudmissle - Kevin Durant, Dikembe Mutombo, Marques Johnson, Pau Gasol,

this is the cleanest team in the league by far. all players hit 70+% ft, low t.o.'s, all have 51+fg%'s, all play 70+ def. they can board, dish just enough, and have the right amt of usage. all parts fit like a Japanese-built dildo. long, sleek and well-oiled (this might be the perfect recipe for disaster). I really wanted webber in the 4th, and I almost had him, but looking back, happier with gasol (his 8.1 mil season...yikes!) money is quickly becoming a problem but should have about 7 mil left for the last 5 players. wanted calderon for my pg, but that idea just went kapoot. but lost dreams are sometimes realized in the silver linings... and I have a jewel in mind. hope he's left alone, but he's been on a couple of owners radars these past two seasons. but I draft in the middle of the order. we'll see. I will call this squad, The Mop Bucket

Oh that's fantastic

7. jt7king - Shaq O'Neal, Dwight Howard, Jason Terry,

jt is need of an eval... but I had to wait so long for his 3rd pick. the price of doing business to land howard in the first. that given, this trio is starting to get fleshed out. terry is solid addition because he brings so much bang for the "low" buck. and he establishes an immediate inside-out game. in addition, he can dime at times. sure, sometimes he's a ghost, but there will be games when he's not, and jt needs more players like him to offset the high salaries of shaq and howard. that's the problem with drafting two elites so early, you're kind of forced to use their most expensive seasons, otherwise, what's the point of having 2 first-rounders. but now jt is back in the draft fold and there's tons of great players left. spend wisely grasshopper. rooting for you.

1. amerk1180 - W. Chamberlain Terry Porter, Charlie Ward, Buck Williams, Carmelo Anthony,

good god, buck Williams so, so late in the 4th round. a good day for amerk, a new niece and buck. haha. like that john candy movie, uncle buck! anyway, we can all agree, wilt and buck in the frontcourt is as good as any other frontcourt duo, maybe even as competitive as shaq and howard. then adding scoring juggernaut, Carmelo, this has suddenly turned into a very good team. which Anthony season u gonna use? that's a very important question. I know his top season is attractive with those 167 threes made, but porter and ward give you threes. anthony's 07-08 season is worth a look. little better %'s, cheaper and better dimes. but even with wilt, you do not have money problems, so perhaps Carmelo's top season is worth it. gotta love that big number - 167! like I said before, this is a terrific draft for so many teams. yeah, gotta be the toughest gig in all of wis. nice job, amerk.
