Let me make an analogy for you. You probably won't understand or won't agree (because you're one of Trumps drones), but I'll make it anyways,

1) The rising cost of healthcare has been a problem in the US, and a number of people could not afford it. The Obama administration pushed through the Affordable Care Act (i.e. Obamacare) to address it. It solved some problems, but overall it was a poorly thought out and implemented solution which really was no solution at all, as it completely avoided the true root cause of the healthcare issue in the U.S., which was out of control costs. In short, the ACA is a non-solution which completely missed it's mark. But supporters of Obama love it, because it's their guy and their party who did it.

2) Illegal immigration is a problem. Trump is trying to build a wall at the southern border to address it. It may deter some border crossings, but certainly not all. But overall, it's a poorly thought out solution to the real problem with illegal immigration, which is visa overstays. The wall essentially is a non-solution to illegal immigration that completely misses it's mark. But supporters of Trump love it, because it's their guy and their party trying to do it.

See how that works?

To put it another way . . . the wall is just Trump's version of Obamacare. The wrong solution to a problem.
good goddam analogy 1) and 2)

i was a ram it througher

in the hopes it would lead to universal coverage some way or another--because i thought that must lead to better cheaper outcomes--so you are right too the big overarching reason we need anything at all is cost

maybe i was wrong but now the poor got healthcare they want to keep it which is worth something

this thing trump is trying to stymie his way through i don get the end game. what he really wants

yes i would give him his stupid wall

it just seems to me the only endgame he has in mind is to win another election

what for?

obamacare was always seen as an imperfect first step..t was the best that could be done at THAT time......it has helped a lot..got millions insurance......and it has convinced the majority of people to now do it even more expansive and better...medicare/medicaid for all...so it was highly productive and a success in that way....which was the intention....now no one is talking communism and socialism..the people got a taste and they want more.

As someone who depends on Medicare I can tell you it is the best possible solution for all.

no doubt about it....people want to get older just to get it.

As usual, Trump lied, but somehow it is not his fault.
If you're saying he lied when he said he'd find a way to have Mexico pay for it, then yes, he did.

If you mean something else, you are totally wrong. He's doing everything possible to get a wall built. Anyone with an IQ of 1 (which means even most of our Liberal friends here) knew Trump couldn't wave his magic wand, or click his heals twice, and have a wall built. They knew it would take the cooperation and compromise of others to get it done. Unfortunately, those who could (should?) be cooperating and compromising, are instead playing political games and holding Government workers as their game pieces.
I'm saying he lied when he said Mexico would pay for it. I have no doubt he wants to build the wall, And it takes 2 parties to compromise. Both dems and republicans are holding American workers hostage, and you can bet your *** the congressman and senators aren't missing any paychecks.
