I always wondered if we could get everyone to gather at noon on Saturday and just go pick, pick, pick, pick and so on and see if we could knock out the whole draft in one afternoon. We used to draft Strat-o-matic baseball teams (26 players per team!) and we could get the whole draft done in several hours.

I think that could be done, but you'd need to plan out/set in stone all details in advance. And if someone thinks they might get waylaid, have them construct/send out a proxy list. The format we're in now ($ value tiers instead of single seasons) would probably work well, unless you planned on doing just a straight-up player draft (no tiers, no single seasons).

He hasn't opened his site-mails informing him that we have started. Since he doesn't even know we've started, I'm going to go ahead and make his first pick for him. Enough is enough.

The first pick for redbooda will be LeBron James 9-11.

If he shows up before his second pick and doesn't want LeBron he can trade him for another player, straight up. We will go down the list and offer each player LeBron until someone takes him. I really doubt if he will want to get rid of him.

If he is still absent by the time we get to his second pick we will look for a replacement team owner.

Do we want to go ahead and use Maglor's proxy list he sent out? His list had 2 guys, one of them being LeBron 9-11, so we know who he wants...

Maglor's proxy was Kareem Abdul-Jabaar 9-11. If someone else also got his SM, I'll give a couple minutes before my pick so they can confirm.
