OK hit me... I feel lucky :)
Welcome, harrelson! Let's see if the randomizer agrees with you:

1. Boston Braves @ Brooklyn Robins, August 12, 1928
2. P Jay Pettibone 1983
3. Giants @ Padres, June 29, 1991
4. 2018 Washington Nationals statistics
5. * P Jeff Williams 1999-2002
6. Tigers @ Braves, June 25, 2010

This is always fun to build. If there's a spot left, I'll press my luck.

I'm in, if you have a spot.
12/9/2019 12:14 PM
Wow: a run on spots. I think this takes us right to 24, but I will double check.

Mr. Ruth: Honored to have you involved. Hope you are going to pick yourself as playing captain! Here are six pages for teammates:

1. 1B Mike Ivie 1971-83
2. Brooklyn Robins @ Cubs, September 15, 1929 - your old friend Charlie Root pitched!
3. Nationals @ Orioles, June 12, 2007
4. * P John Roach 1887 - see below
5. Brewers @ Angels, August 20, 1993
6. 1997 Orioles Team Batting Gamelog - https://www.baseball-reference.com/gl/teams/BAL/bat/1997.htm
The only players shown here are the opposing starting pitchers, so you can take any four pitchers who started a game against the O's in '97

As for John Roach, he pitched one game for the 1887 NY Giants, and gave up 17 runs [10 earned] ! So you will take a 200k player in his place, and then I will find you a replacement pitcher from AAA, whom you probably shouldn't count on for much help!

normy: Another new face. Welcome, and here you go:

1. P Joe Boever 1985-96
2. Royals @ Brewers, July 4, 1970
3. Players Born on January 29 - any four from this list; you can include guys who aren't in the SIM database, if you wish
https://www.baseball-reference.com/friv/birthdays.cgi?month=1&day=29
4. 2012 Boston Red Sox Schedule - https://www.baseball-reference.com/teams/BOS/2012-schedule-scores.shtml
The schedule page lists pitchers' decisions, so you can take any Red Sox pitcher OR any opponent who had a win, loss or save against them
5. Mets @ Marlins, August 8, 1996
6. Mets @ Padres, August 19, 2003

Guess you will have to rely on January 29 for any deadball players!

I will take a spot.
dhomard: Welcome back! Here are six pages for you:

1. New York Mets Uniform Numbers - https://www.baseball-reference.com/teams/NYM/uniform-numbers.shtml
This was the franchise page - the entire history of Mets players - so I had my wife pick a number at random. She picked 48, so you should use four Mets who wore that number, in a season they did so. The present wearer is a very good start!
2. Braves @ Pirates, April 28, 1972
3. Yankees @ Tigers, June 12, 1966, second game of doubleheader
4. 2000 ALDS Game 1, Yankees @ Athletics, October 3
5. Pirates @ New York Giants, July 12, 1911
6. Yankees @ White Sox, July 19, 1934

There is a lot of talent on those last three pages!

i will take a spot if there is one left...
3dayrotation: Welcome aboard! Can't guarantee you will get three pitchers suitable for your favored strategy, but here you go:

1. Senators @ Browns, August 5, 1924, first game of doubleheader
2. 1986 Los Angeles Dodgers Statistics [any four players for the Dodgers that year]
3. Marlins @ Braves, July 30, 2012
4. Brewers @ Cubs, August 11, 2015
5. 1914 Chicago White Sox Schedule - lists all pitchers who had a decision for or against the Sox - you can take any four listed
6. P Chris Bootcheck 2003-13 - pitched in parts of seven seasons, though only one with enough innings to be in the SIM - you can take him in one of those other years if you want, as one of your max of three players replaced in AAA

That fifth page might give you a three day rotation!

redcped: Press accepted, and good luck with the following:

1. 1944 Cincinnati Reds Batting Orders [any four who started a game that year, including starting pitchers]
2. Yankees @ Twins, September 3, 1966, second game of doubleheader
3. 1985 Cleveland Indians Batting Statistics - for some reason, this page DOES list all the pitchers, even though none of them had a PA, so they are eligible
4. P Billy Hart 1890 St. Louis Browns
5. Philadelphia Athletics @ White Sox, June 14, 1922
6. P David Carpenter 2012-15

I'm in, if you have a spot.
kevinjb: You are indeed our 24th man! Here are six pages for you:

1. * OF Fancy O'Neil 1874 Hartford Dark Blues - see below
2. Tigers @ Senators, July 24, 1954
3. Cubs @ Cardinals, April 22, 1909 - there's your pitching!
4. Tigers @ Browns, September 8, 1922
5. Players by Place of Burial - Arkansas Baseball Stats & Info - https://www.baseball-reference.com/bio/AR_buried.shtml
That's 83 players, including three Hall of Famers
6. Giants @ Pirates, July 26, 1961

* so, for Fancy O'Neil, who played in the National Association, you draft a 200K player and I will find you an AAA replacement. As to his teammates, obviously 1874 is not in the sim database, but O'Neil did have two teammates who played in 1885 and after: Orator Shaffer and Jack Manning. So, you can use any season of one or both of those, and then pick one or two other of their teammates from 1874 [because you can only have a max of three non-SIM players], for you to draft a 200k player and for me to find an AAA substitute.
