And I'll also be one to say that bbunch builds good teams regardless. I will agree with that all day.

But something in this game needs to change. Its very simple, if a coach returns to the school, he shouldn't get a full budget. This would solve EVERYTHING. The game of HD would continue on as normal. And all you guys who choose to play with fire season after season after season, not renewing, while continuing a 5+ real life years commitment, can continue to do so and there will be no reason for a thread like this.

It'll all be fixed that way. The end

In Allen I’m at Ohio with a B- Prestige for what seems like forever. I’m happy to stay but not good enough to make the program much better. That’s ok, HD is a nice diversion and easier to manage than the larger games like GD and HBD.

But still, every season when it’s new jobs time I check out the available teams, just because. And A Prestige Pitt always seems to be up there. I notice them because they are at the top of the list and also never available to me.

This stinks.

This isn't that difficult. Lemme help you out

This. I don't understand ANY other outcome or reason not to. As I've stated many times, this game is played in YEARS not days. So it's bonkers to not set auto renew. It makes no sense whatsoever.
Played here a long time. And I NEVER use auto renew.

I don't think it's bonkers. I'm just afraid of commitment. : )

FWIW - bbunch's Hawaii Pacific squads are ALWAYS good ... and not just when he forgets to renew.
You have shown commitment to your Smith team for 26 seasons. That's not being afraid of commitment. Auto renew is just a safety net. You can turn it off at any time.

Wouldn't it be much easier to leave auto renew on, and click it off ONCE whenever it is that you decide you don't want to play there anymore? Rather than to have to click it renew 26 times just to keep them?

I'm much more forgiving about people forgetting to renew. Stuff happens and it's not crazy for it to happen to someone. We're all human.

However, I do think it's pretty crazy for it to happen "all the time". Then you need to make a thread on here asking who else applied to Georgetown and then need to convince that person who beat you out of the job to let you have your old job back by giving them a little something extra. And then you need to ask Seble to place that person in another job so you can have your old job back. I don't know, call me nutty, but sounds like quite a hassle.

If it happens once, okay that's fine. But after you forget once, go through all that nonsense (or even maybe you lost this job you covet), why are you going to just keep on risking it and keep on forgetting.

I agree that life happens and it's easy to forget. No doubt about that. I also agree that the habitual offenders are the problem. My argument is just about protecting your investment. If you're a coach with 200 plus seasons, you've been here for years now. Protect your investment. Have TWO credits in your bank at all times. It's like $20 for something you've devoted time to for years and years and years. But I'll stop. This one just fires me up.

In the Georgetown situation listed here, i guarantee it cost more to complete that whole deal than it would cost to buy a season. A lot more probably

The guy who earned the Georgetown job ended up at Virginia. Another good program, but still, from the outside this looked pretty weird.

Appreciate the fair conversation and understand the concerns. I will fix it going forward and hope that others will do the same. But I wish it wasn't even an issue, because I, like others have said, never forget to hit auto-renew - sometimes I just run out of money because not all my teams are as consistently elite as HPU (and therefore I run out of money). On my end - Life happens a lot. I have a lot going on, public school teacher, raising a 1 year old, sick family members, side music gigs for extra cash.... I'm a fairly busy person (until now lol) and this is my escapism. While I have done 5 and 10 packs, I'm not wealthy and sometimes can't budget for it - or I neglect to.

It should be such an easy fix from the game's perspective so we don't have to police each other. I thank all of you for not having this conversation blowing up into a ****-fest and for people hearing me out, even if there is disagreement.

Had no idea of this -maybe it explains some situations in which I was blown away in session 2 by teams that I thought should have been very low on resources....not a good luck.....for those who repeat it

I have no issue with somone who makes a mistake - I make plenty

I make mistakes all day myself. I'm also not wealthy. Not at all. I consider myself to be one of the most broke people here after learning what some of you do for a living. But..... I've said the rest already

You know the part that you guys don’t get? It’s the same reason why you guys are more successful than the casual player, you care more.

At times, this game was an obsession for me. I never missed a game, credits were always lined up, I was always ready for recruiting. At this point in my life, it’s more a hobby. I miss the damn 2pm game all the time. I forget to scout before recruiting, and yes I forget to renew.

I don’t know any of the dudes you accused of cheating personally but I think you should have some real evidence before you accuse any of cheating. The forums have been civil for quite some time ( not missing mike at all), please consider the effect of your righteous crusade.

All I'm saying, if I cared enough to track down the person who beat me for a job, convince that person to change jobs with me, provide them compensation ($$) for changing jobs and then convince Seble to allow us to switch jobs.. then I care enough to just have auto renewal checked for a game I've been playing for 10 years and spend the 5 bucks instead of waiting for credits.

Just sayin'

I am built pretty buff thank you. I look like the Centaur Man on the Old Spice commercial (and yes I'm hung like a horse!)

I miss the 2pm game all the time when I played 2x. That's why you'll never see me in a 2x world anymore. I also don't scout before recruiting either (but that part is intentional on my part). So I feel ya on those two things at least!
