No I wasn't that surprised dh555. Yes, dbkc is killing it. I like the way that he makes it sound so simple, " I just decided to take players all with 60 EFG% or higher and it worked out". There was a lot more strategy involved than that I can assure you.

I don't remember anyone winning 70+ games period in this league. I think benhoidal, but I may be mistaken on who, may have won that many in the ODL before.

This is only my 2nd season in the 52 (although I did draft a championship team for another owner prior to joining). In the ODL the record wins for a season is 67 by dh555. My highest is 62.

this was back as far as maybe in the OG kfunk days - he was an open league phenom and someone (not me) challenged him to join a 'real man's' league like a theme league and then he did and then he picked all these dudes you'd never think of (but somehow clearly fit the model of the moment) and then he won 70+ games and a title

I don’t remember who that was copernicus. But I am old enough to remember the days when Dale Ellis was a god in the sim. Wasn’t that before they had D ratings? Or at least before they overhauled the d rating system?

(For those who have been here for fewer than, like, 10 years, this sim actually used to be regularly updated and tweaked - hard to imagine, I know)

Me too! I’m starting to realize now, after I picked them, that getting the right guys around them might be kind of hard. But still, they compliment each other pretty well.
