For the record, Bernie would have won if the DNC had not worked tooth and nail to prevent it. No candidate had the enthusiasm that anywhere matched Bernie's base. If the Democrats do not embrace the tenets of Democratic Socialism soon there will be a mass exodus from the party. We do not need 80 year olds representing us.

Even if they did, the argument that "I disagree with some Democrats so I won't vote for any of them" is so, so stupid. You vote for politicians, not the base. If the Republican base were confederate flag waving nazis, but they elected Mitt Romney, I wouldn't call them a fascist party.

Coreander - I disagree with this take, even though I supported Bernie. In 2016 Bernie got ******, but the moderates coalescing in 2020 doesn't constitute a rigged election. In the end, it was Bernie v Biden, and Biden won. I liked Bernie more, but the party isn't there yet.

Oh, it’s a Bernie supporter. This is my shocked face.

I mean, DSA and all. Not surprising.

Who did you support in the primary, Uofa?

Actually, it appeared that Biden had much more enthusiasm than Bernie’s base, what with those vote totals and all. It’s cool that you want to be anti-democracy though.

Warren, and Inslee, but by the time my primary came around Bernie had the best shot to represent my values so I voted for him. Biden trounced him here. Oh well.

I think there is a lot that happened behind the scenes that we don't know about. Why did Pete B. drop out when he did? Why did Warren stay in the race so long? IMO, Bernie best represents the future of the party AND its present. The party brass knows this, but they fear Bernie's independence. He will not play the old political games. He is not interested in funneling corporate money back into a corrupt DNC. He represents real change. Real change that a majority of Democrats want to see.

Every opinion I had on the primaries is documented somewhere around the forums. My top 3 early was Sanders, Buttigieg, and Inslee. I liked Tulsi there for a while (until her "present" vote) and fell in love with Yang towards the end.

The only one who I wouldn't have voted for in the general is Bloomberg. **** that guy. Biden looks like a progressive compared to him.

Ooh, Liz was in on it too, I love this bit. “How dare that woman run for president and not step aside for the 78 year old man also I don’t think 78 year old men should represent us except the guy who just had a heart attack.” Really cool to bring it up after it’s been shown that maybe half of her voters woulda gone to Bernie, maybe. Probably residual anger from calling her a republican snake for months. Man, I truly am shocked Bernie’s campaign didn’t do better.

But he’s a white supremacist. How could you possibly vote for a white supremacist?

Yang gang! That’s my dog!

There is more than ample evidence of Bernie's complete consistency in civil rights matters.

Although, let me first ask Coreander if all Asians are white supremacists as well or if it’s only all white people. I have to be careful not to vote for a white supremacist.

None of that constitutes a rigged election, and it also doesn't prove that a majority of Dems liked Bernie over Biden. Bernie was the most popular in a field of 13, but when it came down to Bernie v Biden, Dems chose Biden.

I wish Warren had dropped out before Super Tuesday, but even combining her vote with Bernie's, it wasn't enough.

I was rooting hard for Bernie to win, but it wasn't going to happen this year unless the field stayed split forever.
