Definitely a mental error on Allen, but a tremendous outside he box play by Baez and tremendous hustle by Contreras

I refuse to support low quality reaction channels like Jomboy. I’d rather just see the clip

Hey Statler and Waldorf, Jomboy does good work! Plus I couldn't find the actual clip -- somehow he had his reaction clip up before I saw the real thing. Thanks for posting it, ryno.

It’s nothing against you crazy, but YouTube already had a controversial phase of channels blowing up by recording themselves watching other people’s content and “reacting” to it (which really was like a monotone wow that’s crazy). And Jomboy I feel is the baseball version of that. Sure he “lip reads” sometimes, but I still think it’s low effort.

Yes, I saw that Pirate play. Couple of observations. Why didn't the catcher and all his teammates yell at the First baseman to go back and tag 1B? There was 2 outs. And what has that guy said to the media?

He's quoted in this article.

“I’m going be on blooper reels for the rest of my life, but I need to keep moving forward,” Craig said. “The best way to do it is kind of just accept it head on. Don’t deny it. Don't shy away from it. It happened. And I’ll try to give the best explanation that I can of what happened.”

That, of course, went something like this: It was a gigantic brain cramp. One that happened at a terrible time.

Although he and Pirates fans would obviously prefer the scenario never existed in the first place, Craig deserves a tip of the cap for how he handled himself.

He didn’t make excuses. He didn’t hide behind cliches. He screwed up and did something stupid on a baseball field. He wasn’t the first, won’t be the last and knows he must work even harder to not let this particular moment define him.

“It falls on me,” Craig said. “I know better. If I would have taken a step and a half back, we wouldn’t be having this conversation right now. It all boils down to me losing my brain for a split second and getting caught up in the moment. It’s something that I take responsibility for.”

That seemed to be the theme of the day around a Pirates club that found itself with an unexpected day off after inclement weather postponed Friday’s game against the Rockies. Manager Derek Shelton said he watched the play one time Thursday simply to ensure he grasped the totality of the thing.

“Didn’t get any better,” Shelton joked.

I was mistaking him for someone else actually. Thought it was jomboy but it's not. I like jomboy.
I was thinking of portnoy from Barstool sports. Can't stand that guy

Never heard of Portnoy. He named after the Phillip Roth character?

Braves 2B and P combine for the nifty out at first

Vladdy with a fielder aided triple

Bo Bichette with a wet field aided triple

Also tonight, Carlos Martinez of the Cardinals became the 4th starting pitcher in MLB history to give up 10 earned runs in a game without getting out of the first inning.

And in response to the recent Tony La Russa discussion:
