Regarding the topic of skipping owners in this draft when the clock is not an issue (especially for those who were not in the last version):

There will be times when the only owners ahead of you cannot possibly fit the player you want into their eventual 25 consecutive years. In this case, cholatse has Hal Newhouser, whose career ended in 1954. If he used that last season, then his range would be 1954-1978. There is no way he could select Roger Clemens whose first season was 1986. Therefore, schwarze's pick is valid.
