So if I get my last pick (and why wouldn't I? I'm shooting 45.3%) then I will be in at $113,454,779......y'all should try to match that because I'm going down hard.

Lesson learned....if you're going to reach for someone, make sure they are as faceless as possible....nobody who ever threw consecutive No Hitters, never tossed 12 perfect innings, stayed out of the Major Leagues when they were 16 years old....If I drafted Eddie Gaedel, somebody else would have just to spite me.

My quest for a 2nd baseman started with DJ LeMahieu in Round 2. No Luck.
Round 3 I went for Craig Biggio. No Luck.
Round 4 I picked Bret Boone. Same result.
Round 5 I figured I'd better double my chances with Joe Gordon and a swing player in Whit Merrifield, who i really wanted to play in the outfield. Yep, no Gordon but I did get Merrifield as insurance.
Not to be deterred I try for Pedroia and Molitor in Round 6. Again, No Luck.
Ok, I'm persistant right........ Dave Cash in Round 7. No Luck.
Round 8....... finally Brandon Phillips.
All this and if anyone of those picks had been made 1 round earlier I would have got them. This is the fun and frustrating part of these drafts.

And to anyone of you who are still drafting at the end, the last time I ran this, if I remember correctly, the leagues best record was owned by the guy who made the last pick.

10 people should have drafted Mays in Round 1.
I doubt the SIM has a factor for this, but I identified 6 screwball pitchers I wanted in Round 1. Attempted to get 5 of them. I got 1....and the other guy (Valenzuela) made it onto someone else's roster. At the end I reached for Freddie Norman, just in case it matters.

I'd say the second one...having one other owner pick your guy. Once I pass on someone, I move on. If someone gets him, like Johnny Bench who I strongly considered, good for them. But missing out by one stray vote on the obscure player I was really excited to get...excruciating. Either way though, this draft has been a lot of fun. Looking forward to more of these. And as for Mays, he landed in my "don't draft him, that will be a wasted pick" list. I was surprised he stayed available as long as he did though.

I thought I'd swing for the fence the first round and maybe I get lucky and land a stud. WRONG!! Thru the first 4 rounds I landed 4 players. Two ways to look at it, one is I have no idea how to draft in a league like this, or two, I really know what I'm doing because obviously everybody is picking the same players as me. I choose to believe it's the latter. Either way this has been a really fun draft.
