I thought it was supposed to be sacrilege to say that having low assist% was hurting your shooting.

The higher budget in the 55 means a higher floor on the passing you need to stay competitive in the shooting game unless you can compensate with EFG/TS. Unfortunately Wade/Hakeem are taking a lot of medium efficiency shots to begin with - though steelers821's improvement from EFG to TS is larger than average.

I don’t think I’ve ever had such a large drop from sim efg compared to efg I drafted. I think assists is some of the problem but not all of it. I also think I’m facing -2/-3 defenses almost every game with Hakeem and Wade as my main scorers which is also dropping averages even lower. Finally the high salary means everyone gets a better defense than usual.

I really wasn’t expecting all those factors to compound as much as they did. I’ve certainly know now.

yeah at least Wade nance and Hakeem all get to the line a lot making my ts% a little better.

yeah I try to make sure most of my guys are above 55% eFG for the most part.This year I have a lot of usage already right around that 55% number, I hope it is enough lol. I can get more high efficiency/lower usage guys but 94% usage is already used up by the doncic/Klay/Mourning combo

I think as long as you are cognizant of TOV% and EFG% you're good - I have never heard of any penalty just for too much otherwise

Dak usage costs money. In this league money isn’t scarce so you shouldn’t have to worry. But for 47mil leagues to much usage might mean you aren’t allocating enough money to other stats.

This is also my first time using Luka, mourning, and Klay so this will be like a brand new experience for me this season lol

Rifton going to be tough to beat. Lot of solid teams. I think my efg will be just too low for the good defense to compensate.

I feel like I am not spending money fast enough

And now my team is almost complete. I feel much better about this team than last years team. I wish Deron Williams had better shooting but I needed to get above the assists floor and he is serviceable on defense. So far for defense I have 2 elite 100 defense guys in mourning and Gerald Wallace (along with Klay who is serviceable at 84 defense) for shooting I have doncic and Klay. Rebounding is my biggest weakness as Capela is my only player that can get offensive boards right now and he plays less than half of a game. But so far it’s not a bad team. Usage is definitely taken care of.

Even tho I think I’m going to use the 2020-21 doncic even tho it has slightly worse defense and 1% lower efg and 4% more turnovers because I bet 200 extra minutes which will be critical as I only have $12M to round out the roster
