Is BJ Sander still available?

Apparently Chad Clifton will visit with the Redskins, there's a chance he might end up with Washington. I'm sure Ted could care less since he has such a stellar record of acquiring O-linemen.

Apparently the Redskins aren't on a spending spree at the moment; reports are that Clifton and Packers agree on 3-year, $20M deal.

Packers release DE Michael Montgomery (didn't really fit the 3-4) and safety Matt Giordano (didn't do much after midseason acquisition).

Aaron Kampman signed with Jacksonville, saying the Packers made an attempt to retain his services but that his desire to return to a 4-3 defense and play end was stronger than his desire to stay in Green Bay.

He was probably sick of playing in front of a full stadium, too.

Safety Nick Collins has signed his tender, perhaps indicating that he and the club are close to a multi-year deal.

Collins and DT Ryan Pickett have both signed deals that take them through 2013.

Packers apparently looking into signing Brian Westbrook.

The 2010 schedule is finally out; Green Bay opens on the road against Philly in a doubleheader game on Sept. 12, then has their home opener the following week against Buffalo. Game Three is at Chicago on Monday Night Football, their only Monday night appearance.

The Packers will have Sunday Night Football appearances against Minnesota (10/24), Dallas (11/7), both at home, and at New England (12/19).

They close the season with consecutive home games against the Giants and Bears, who unfortunately are cold-weather teams anyway.

Packers stay at #23 and draft Iowa OL Bryan Bulaga. Who has "bust" written all over him. When will Thompson learn not to draft Big Ten guys in the first round?

As if things weren't bad enough, Bulaga grew up a Bears fan.

TT probably peed his pants when Bulaga started falling. Bulaga just looks like a 1960's Packer player.

Thompson would never draft a '60s player.. those dudes are too old. He's determined to have the youngest team in the league every year.

Packers yet another Big Ten player (ugh) in the second round, DT Mike Neal, then trade up 15 spots in the third to take Georgia Tech safety Morgan Burnett, dealing their own third round choice and a fourth round choice to Philly.

My dad was ecstatic that Bulaga fell to the Packers.

Ted finished his draft with another group of players at positions we didn't need and the usual complement of guys who missed most or all of their final season due to injury. Man, he loves guys who have been injured.
