how many injuries at one time?

We really should have addressed the injury question at the beginning.  Shame on me for not thinking to ask either... I certainly hope it's the default 6.  If it's anything higher or lower than that some people's strategies (including mine) could be f***ed.

I'd also like to point out that we really shouldn't allow 3 goalies ever.  There are only 49 in the database.  If two teams pick 3 goalies, somebody comes up short.

I thought there were 57, but I wasn't accounting for partial/traded seasons.

I'm open to input on injuries.  I was planning on NO WW to keep us strictly 92-93.  I also don't want MLers playing any role other than plugging a 4th line/3rd pairing/non-workhorse goalie.

If 6 is the default, wouldn't 5 be a little more helpful?

I don't think you can allow the ww, only for the fact you will develop clones from team to team. Also, ml'er filling roles like you mentioned is fine by me. Injuries are part of the game and can be a strategy, so whatever you decide works. As far as goalies, I would limit it to 2, but again, you are the commish, so the decision is yours.

Injuries have to be in even-game increments.  As to which setting would be more "helpful"... that entirely depends on your strategy.  For me, fewer than the default would NOT be helpful.  :)

This also all plays into the possibility of a 2nd season redraft.  We can make improvements.

Goalies are certainly an issue given the player pool.  I think 20 rounds is plenty to draft a starter and backup.  Of course, as I've found, if you wait too long, you're screwed in goal.

Not sure what to do about that.  Maybe make the first round Goalie Mandatory?  Then whover gets the 24th best goalie also gets the best skater on the snake.

Sorry for this being seat-of-my-pants.  I've only ever made one league before, and it didn't involve a draft.

Interesting.  I'm learning a lot in this process.

We'll go with the default for injuries this season.  If there ends up being enough interest for another go-around, we'll fine-tune the rules before the next draft.

Bruins take D Brad Berry

also previously drafted.

seeing a lot of that this round.  guess we're scraping the bottom of the barrel.

My crappy team takes D - Alexander Godynyuk (I apologize for the spelling if it is wrong).....I'm hoping for 4 injuries at a time.....as my strategy all along has been to have not too many out.....I thought default was 4.

I agree with alanasdad, No Waiver , 3 or 4 injuries, no MLer's because this is a 92/93 league and 2 goalies max
straight & simple rules
