This is probably the first time in 8 years that I don't have pitching to deal.

I will acquire a #1/#2 SP one way or another, as I think that's really the only thing I need to bump up to legit contender status.

Although, maybe not if there are none in FA, as people are impossible to trade with.

Bernie and Al seem to be the top 2 FA SP's

Yeah, looks like I should be able to find someone.  If I can add one of them, a reliever for depth and a bat for depth, I'll be in good shape.

Actually, my bullpen disappointed last season.  Maybe 2 bullpen arms including one pretty high end guy.

I've basically had Dave Newhan and a bunch of #4/#5 guys for the last couple seasons. With the way I have the back of the bullpen setup now, if I could add some legitimate front/mid rotation guys, I'd be in good shape. Also have some work to do with the offense, but I think they underperformed last season, and I have some prospect help on the way in the short term as well.

My offense and bullpen underperformed, and my rotation was probably stronger than I should expect.

Yeah, he definitely exceeded expectations, especially the first year. I'm hoping it gets him work somewhere else and me a compensatory pick.
