have you experienced having an hbd player who has similar or exactly the same vs r and vs l splits but just cannot hit vs one of them? for instance i have a mediocre splitted power hitter who cannot hit righties to save his life altho he was about equal against both last season. is it a matter of curtis grandersonizationalized 'cant figure out one side one season, destroys that side next season' type thing?

Could be.  Or it could be SSS.  Or it could be he's RH and not hitting RH pitching because their splits are so much better vs RH batters.  But mostly I'd say it's just a limited sample size.
