I know the answer to that. I think. However more on topic...

Looking at the stats on the HBD statistical overview page, All HBD offense is currently running pretty close to the levels of offense in the 2007 MLB season, if i recall right, league OPS is idenitcal to within a few points, and the R/G rate is within a few tenths of a run. Given that MLB R/G rates have fallen by nearly 1R per game between 2007 and 2011, is HBD close to the point at which it's Offense needs adjusting down slightly, perhaps not by a full run, but maybe 1/2 a run per game?

COULD IT BE BEAUSE WEALTHY VICTORIAN WOMEN  WERE DRESSED BY MAINLY RH SERVANTS, WHILST MEN GENERALLY DRESSED THEMSELVES?
9/6/2011 6:17 AM
Sadly, I'm pretty sure cresten is right.    Servants would lay out men's clothes but they'd dress themselves.   Not so much with women.  I've heard something about swords but that made no sense to me.  I don't think anyone carried a sword under their jacket.    The handshake originated so men could show one another that they weren't carrying a weapon.

WifS seems pretty disinterested in updating the program but it might be worthwhile to explore.  However, if they were to adjust offense, I'd recommend a 5 season plan.  That way, the big contract you just gave out won't be worthless.  I'd probably adjust it down at about .16 runs per game every three months for the next 15 months.

No.  That makes no sense.

Did Philadelphia court an expansion team in Major League Bocce because its citizens felt constricted by their current booing options?

WHO DOESN'T FRIGGIN LOVE BOCCE BALL?
9/6/2011 10:35 AM
I'm pretty sure Philadelphians would boo a dog that's peeing on a fire hydrant, an old lady crossing the street or a crying infant.   I think they wanted a sport that most of their fatass residents thought they could play with a cheesesteak in hand.

AMERICANS!!!!  WE PLAY HORSESHOES LIKE THE COWBOYS DID, POCAHONTES!!!!

How hideous are the new University of Maryland football uni's?

9/6/2011 11:14 AM
Is it true that a U of Miami player said of the new Maryland uniforms "You couldn't pay me enough to wear that!"?
9/6/2011 11:15 AM
Outside of Wyoming's turd and ****, they might be the NCAA's worst.

Maybe not now that Nevin isn't bankrolling the U's football program.

That is not a question.

The Jags just released David Garrard.  Are they 'tanking'?

Is there a karmic force which defines luck, and when it turns on you, nothing can go right, but if it is with you, all is well and all is right?
9/6/2011 3:36 PM
I  believe that's intended to be a vote of confidence for Gabbert.   Garrard hasn't shown me that he's anything special.

No.  Luck is just random chance.   But, what many consider to be "luck", is actually opportunity and preparedness coming together.   An example:  You and a buddy go to the neighborhood watering hole every day.   He gets sloppy drunk while you maintain a proper buzz.   A hot chick comes in and she's hot for some sex.  She'll take you over sloppy drunk every time.  You know this so that's why you've always maintained your proper buzz.

Wouldn't they vomit on the crying infant?

It would be in their playbook of proper etiquette.
