I've just had their number this year...and next is Columbia, who's just had mine.

Hey Coach, good luck in the Conference Championship tonight - the guys are playing well. According to the latest RPI numbers, we're sitting at #5 - I think we *should* be a lock, win or lose, but hey, you hold fate in your hands...just one more game and we're dancing no matter what the committee thinks!

Again, congratulations and best of luck tonight,

Cool. I wanted to win the CT and beat muffin_man, quite a bit. I decided to try a straight-up, normal speed, 0 defense game, since going at all gimmicky on him had backfired before.

They should, but don't, have a special e-mail in regards to winning the Conference Championship.

This was the one, practically free win that I earned by getting a 1 seed. From now on, every game is a toss-up.

The Ivy League went 3-2 in the NT and 2-1 in the PIT. Cornell, the top seed of the PIT, drew the short straw in their matchup, getting a highly talented and as-yet-underachieving team to play.

Okay, a good, solid win...Toledo I thought I'd deal with using the gimmicky Normal pace and 0 defense. Seems to have worked out. Honestly, though, that does seem almost like a gimmick these days.

They've got good FT shooting, which detracts from the advantage of going uptempo. Ours is somewhat better, in theory. Their starting big men are almost as good as mine and have excellent defensive ratings. We might have a good game on the perimeter, at least if we get a little lucky. I don't foresee them exactly stopping Richards, but he's unlikely to run absolutely wild over them. This looks like a good team I'm facing here; very deep and talented. I'd give myself about a 60% chance of winning this game.

they have an RPI of 10 and an SOS of 50, so it's not like I can explain away their dominance on a bunch of weak opponents. We just have to put in a better game than they do, that's all.

Turnovers doom us. We just gave up too many possessions.

Patrick Richards will be redshirting, and I'm just thrilled to have him. I think he's going to be a super player for me, continuing my history of strong frontcourt play. With his work ethic, Richards will develop phenomenally well.

Four stars, 31st ranked PF, 154th ranked overall. If a redshirt can be the star of a recruiting class, then Richards is exactly that.

Richards has had a fantastic career. I'm sad to see him go, but he's certain to be a high NBA draft pick. He fouled out of his last game but, in the meantime, had been putting on a masterful performance.

Four stars, #33 SF, #198 overall. Boatman was promised 15 minutes, which he'll get. He played zone in high school, which helps a little. Other than needing some work on rebounding, he's a really good SF
Boatman never really lived up to my expectations of him. He was a fine player and contributor to the team, but never terribly efficient nor gamebreaking. If he were suddenly given clemency - in the form of two more years in college - he'd continue to develop, and become a true star. He just made less progress than I expected him to...which goes to show the fault was in my expectations, not Boatman.
