To be fair, I'll answer my own question. We know nothing from a handful of players of fractions of seasons. Eventually we will have more info, but for now there is only wild speculation, no more, even if guys offer what pretends to be "data."

However, wild hysteria delivered with a sincere conviction is so much fun for both the deliverer and the onlooker that I am sure it will continue.

Just look at the World Snapshot now vs before the update. HRs are down 34%. AVG, OBP, 2b/g, 3b/g are all unchanged.


HR comparison

The World Snapshot is definitely not a handful or fractions of seasons. It is across HBD.

There has not been a single season completed in any world since this change. Even a fifth grader understands that something less than a whole is a fraction.

I'm thinking that all of the data from all of the worlds is a large enough sample size to trust the results.

Um, we started our current season on 11/6, and it finished several days ago. Either way, the World Snapshot has a humongous sample size, and adequately represents the current state of the game.

Have they accounted for 'tard leagues?

Sorry. You might have something to report after 30 seasons, considering all the confounding variables you would have to control for. You might be able to form preliminary conclusions after 20 seasons.

Actually, I don't think even that is possible in any reliable way. Of course, I realize what fun it is to add 2 and 2, think you've got something significant and wail about how that have screwed the game. Have your fun, by all means.
