i just use a spring training team in the draft center to keep tabs on my salary, team, etc....just a thought, its free.

bottom line is, JUST DONT MAKE A PICK IN THE CURRENT ROUND UNTIL YOUR PICKS ARE UP TO DATE. or make them at the same time even. then we don't have to keep revisiting this.

And if someone picks someone before their picks are caught up, its should be an invalid pick....

Seems pretty simple to me. And if Readhead isn't running this league(which I thought he was and am cool with) who the hell is?

Not making a pick in a previous round has never been allowed here.  I didn't assume you were strategizing on salary, I said owners could strategize with this and wanted this cleared up before someone else decides they do want to.  Sure, your Reds pick is the last one, but you still have an ability to choose between a 200k player or a useable pinch hitter (or any other filler spot). That option isn't open to everyone as we all had to make those selections rounds before the end of the draft..  By leaving that open, you could use that to fill in your salary more effectively during the final round.  I just don't understand why you didn't make that pick when you had time for the other selections and were asked to do so.

Today is the first time I would have had time to make that pick.  I was planning on doing so with my pick today.  Whatever, the team has been taken and it looks like everything will be fine.  Good luck with the league.  I have always liked this league but am pretty unhappy with the **** I took about missing a pick during my 12 hour shifts...  I'm sorry I didn't take the time during the first time I've seen my family in 7 months to make it up right away.  My very bad.  Good luck to soxy with the team - I don't think my picks so far have been exemplary, but they probably leave room to make a good team in the late rounds if you get lucky.

The update draft board has had me with Torre for approx 24 hours.  
I've started a new round with me having Torre. 
I will enter my team in about 10-15 days with Torre in my line up..
So YES, I will have Torre becasue I said SO.. Unless your whining *** wants to take my team as a 2nd team...

According to BastanRedsox readhead is running the league. Good enough for me. And whether you are trying to work around salary is immaterial; if the precedent is set that owners can skip picks they don't want to make on time, someone will take advantage of it. As habsfan said, it's been abused before, and it's been dealt with by not allowing picks in following rounds when a pick is missing. If it's allowed for whatever reason, someone will say he doesn't have to pick in Round 15 until he's ready to, and can gain an advantage by doing that.
