Salvador Perez, C
ORIOLE PARK AT CAMDEN YARDS
A few of us have talked about the problem of owners picking one player and then not picking another one for sometimes HOURS. Today, a solution fell into my lap. From now on, you MUST post BOTH (or all three in the final round) AT THE SAME TIME or you will not get credited with said player UNLESS YOU PICK BOTH AT THE SAME TIME!!! In other words, when homiealiens posted Javy Lopez, any other owner can pick Lopez and get him until homiealiens makes his 2nd pick. And if that happens, then homie would have to pick a different player other than Lopez.
I am pretty sure this will force all owners to make all their multipal picks in ONE post! Or else you will be gambling that that one player will not be taken before you make your 2nd pick.
And I don't make this rule because I wanted Lopez, but was on the bus on my way home from work. I am happy with Sal Perez. Ask kelly, ej and led if you doubt me. We all wanted to find a solution to this.
This makes no sense. homie made both picks within his time slot.
I feel like this is a minor thing, especially as it's the end of the draft. The much larger issue is still that people sign up for a draft leagues and seemingly don't actually have time to participate. They wait for their slot and never draft outside of it. Kills all momentum, and makes it harder for others who might have a chance to draft at various points in the day but cannot...and must wait for their own (sometimes inconvenient) slot.
My opinion on this issue would be just let people take their one selection, and make it so the next person can select immediately and the draft continues. That way they have the one they picked, but it's on them to hurry up and get the second in before subsequent players (potentially) select them.
