Ok, let's go with the simple explanation. All lives matter has no subtext.

Are all lives being treated equally or is there a problem with a specific group inside that "all?"

"All Lives Matter" doesn't need a subtext. It is a goal in and of itself.

Yeah, that's the explanation I said we could use for the purpose of this discussion.

Are all lives being treated equally or is there a problem with a specific group inside that "all?"

So the last time I was an active member of these forums there were constant (very entertaining) flame wars between miket23 and denny03, most of which centered around their opposing views in the upcoming presidential election. The 2004 presidential election.

So Mike, first of all congrats on still being alive. No small accomplishment for a man of your age. Now just from skimming the past few pages I'm inferring that you are not a Trump supporter. I'm just curious if there was some specific issue from the many things he's said or done that turned you off of him or more a collection of his shenanigans? Who was originally your guy? Planning on voting for Clinton?

Shenanigans would be the correct answer. I can't support a guy who behaves like a 3rd grader on the playground. I don't care about "build a wall" or keep Muslims out because some of it makes sense. Tightening our borders at this time seems smart. As for his other "policies", he doesn't really explain how he'll make it happen. Ross Perot-ish. "I'll hire smart people and listen to them" is what pretty much every President does. They just hire smart people who agree with what they want to accomplish.

I didn't really pick a "guy" until it was down to Rubio, Cruz and Trump. I didn't think Cruz could win and, by then, I knew I didn't want Trump. I was left with Rubio. He was gone about two weeks later.

No, the last Clinton I voted for was Bill. I did so twice. I can't imagine I'll vote for another Clinton again. I'm gonna sit this one out and hope 2020 gives us better options. Hell, I'd vote for Bill Clinton a 3rd time if given the choice between Trump/Hillary/Bill. I think they will make Obama look competent.
