We don’t, because “some people” being uncomfortable by someone else isn’t a valid reason to discriminate against that someone else.
What's discriminatory about men's rooms and women's rooms?

Do you know what penises and vaginas are?
Did you know that sex and gender are different things?
Not in every country and not in everyone's minds. SC needs to opine on this. IMO.

I logically cannot accept that a person who was born a male and has male parts can one day identify as a woman and on that day start using the W locker room. (NOT BATHROOM). If I have to live with it I will obviously but to me this is insanity.
It’s been happening for decades and you didn’t know. Chill out.

I've been in gyms for decades and have never seen it. You could be correct but I also didn't have daughters. Pass.

Pass on accepting it just because it is not going away. Just as people protest against the 2nd amendment for example, I don't have to accept every rule/law. I would not obviously protest but I also don't have to agree with it. I personally think it is insanity where we cater to the minute minority. In my opinion it is the wrong decision.

"I logically cannot accept that a person who was born a male and has male parts can one day identify as a woman and on that day start using the W locker room."

I quoted you Boris only to point out one tiny mis-impression, The one day bit. The tranny may "one day" wake-up and realize a truth (repression and denial) yes, BUT it doesn't all occur in one day. There is normally a long process, wherein the tranny (in the particular change YOU are concerned about) ingests daily doses of Estrogen, starts feeling and acting female, (most tie/strap their ***** down the crack), etc before they EVER feel secure enough to enter the "W" room.

A guy standing nude brushing hair in an open locker room with his dick hanging out is unlikely to be a real tranny.
MOST likely he's a perv. getting cheap thrills. PF is completely NUTS in any policy that would remove a member and allow somebody to stand naked brushing ANYTHING with their own member in plain sight.

If the female was a minor. and my daughter, I'd be filing a VERY large lawsuit against PF!!

We are on the same page. If its part of a long process and it can somehow be proven that is a different story. But right now that is not the case. People may identify as a male on Mon, Wed and Fri and female on the other days. Then I think that person should only use the M room. Just my opinion.

So B_L........ exactly what is the issue with my post? IF it happens to be my usage of the word "tranny" I will understand. However, you should know that from my own experience some/many transgenders are fine with that term.

Some vague “uncomfortableness” isn’t a valid reason to discriminate.
but you are discriminating against any woman in that locker room who feels uncomfortable with a man who identifies as a woman in the same locker room, by basically telling them that their discomfort is not as valid as his discomfort and that they need to deal with it.
No, you aren't. She's free to come and go as she pleases.
so, its okay to say to the women if they are uncomfortable with a man identifying as a woman in the locker room, they are free to go somewhere else, but its not okay to say to the man who identifies as a women, if he is uncomfortable in a men's locker room, he can go somewhere else? Again, I haven't seen any valid reason why one person's comfort level is more important than several people's comfort level.

By the way, I asked my wife and daughter and they said they would be very uncomfortable with a man in the women's locker room, no matter how he identifies.

Leftists strike again

On Wednesday, at a joint event with New York gubernatorial candidate Cynthia Nixon, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez showed once again her paltry knowledge of political issues, stating that after she made inflammatory remarks about the state of Israel that the people who were outraged at her were members of the “alt-right.”

Of course, the idea of the alt-right, some of whose members are famously anti-Semitic, being outraged that Ocasio-Cortez attacked Israel is ludicrous, to say the least. Tell former Democratic vice-presidential candidate Joe Lieberman, an Orthodox Jew, that he's "alt-right."

And Ocasio-Cortez made clear that the voices she takes her advice from regarding Israel come from some of the most vehemently anti-Israel groups on the planet.

As the Anti-Defamation League notes, “Jewish Voice for Peace is a radical anti-Israel activist group that advocates for a complete economic, cultural and academic boycott of the state of Israel …JVP considers supporters of Israel, or even critics of Israel who do not hew to JVP’s own extreme views, to be complicit in Israel’s purported acts of racist oppression of Palestinians. JVP leaders believe that expressing support for Israel, or not challenging mainstream Jewish organizations that support Israel, must also be viewed as an implicit attack on people of color and all marginalized groups in the United States.”

J Street has long been seen as anti-Israel; as far back as 2010 attorney Alan Dershowitz wrote, ”It claims to be “a pro-Israel, pro peace lobby.” It has now become neither.” Paul Miller noted in The Hill in 2014, “J Street partners with the rabidly anti-Semitic Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP), a group in the forefront of the anti-Israel boycott, divestment, and sanctions movement. An SJP documentrecently uncovered by the education watchdog group AMCHA Initiative reveals SJP plans to target, ostracize, harass and silence pro-Israel students. These are the bigots J Street deems ‘pro-Israel, pro-peace.’” In 2017, the university arm of J Street called for the Jewish community to take “a new approach” and stop “demonizing” the BDS movement, which stands for boycotting, divesting from and sanctioning Israel.

Ocasio-Cortez is not only ignorant of what the alt-right stands for, she doesn’t even have any idea that many of them would gladly endorse her anti-Israel perspective.

"It's coming!! and sooner than you think!"

Same thing we've been hearing for the last 18 months.

All the accusations, lies and BS, back-and-forth, do nobody, and certainly not this Country any good. Why can't everyone just let the system do it's job as best it can, and THEN react? I still go back to my original claim, made years and years ago, that this two-Party system will continue to separate and drag down this Country until it's people (us) get smart enough to support a 3rd Party.
I agree with you all3. Both sides are really not letting this play out. Some on the left is arguing that Trump should already be impeached and that Mueller is about to release his report, and the right says that Mueller has nothing (as if they know that) and that his investigation should be shut down.

What really worries me is that when Mueller releases his report, and if it looks bad for Trump, the right will already have worked up the narrative that Mueller's word means jack. What happens then? I can already see moy, CCCP, you, Doug, kz trying to deflect and backpedal...
Why do you care what we think? I don't care what you think.
Because I care about this country and our democracy, and I fear the direction we are headed in.
Similarly I fear radical Islam. I think overall our democracy will survive. The country is divided but people overall are happy. I don't want the US to become like Europe.
I don't like radical Islam, but I don't fear it either. Nothing to be scared of IMO. I think that if we have a situation where the president clearly committed a crime and yet 40% of the country defends him, that threatens our democracy.

I want the USA to become like Europe, at least some countries there. What's wrong with Europe?
In America you are innocent until proven guilty. If Trump is found 100% guilty the majority of the country will turn on him and respect our democracy. You have a legit question in terms of will people trust the sources because optically they look compromised. They'll state that HRC got away with lying and having a separate server and Trump was railroaded. I agree that it is unlikely that a good outcome occurs because no matter what 50% of the country will hate it.

In the UK there are signs that state this is a Muslim community, no dogs allowed. Crimes have grown substantially in Sweden since an influx. Same for France and Germany. It sounds bitter but I don't want that here. If you come to America you need to respect American values. Aka treat women as equals.

I hope that you are right. I am not sure. I mean, can you see Moy and Doug raving about how we need to investigate the investigation? And bringing up whataboutism for days?

A lot of Europe has a lower crime rate than the USA. The only European countries that has a higher crime rate than the USA are Ireland and Albania. I'll take it.

Also as I have been saying, follow the laws. If the laws say to respect women, and someone doesn't respect women, then they go to jail. Simple as that.
You can go to jail for not respecting women?

More than 3 out of 4 Americans feel safe walking around where they live at night. While this is a measurement of perceived crime, and not crime itself, the perception is that the US as a whole is as safe as most modern industrialized nations. This is probably bolstered by the fact that 78.6% of Americans have confidence in local police; a measure only topped by Scandinavian nations and Canada. Plus the fact that a large percentage of violent crime in America is concentrated in relatively small geographic areas, and, as we know, the US is a massive place.
If they commit a crime, yes.

Who cares about perceived crime? I don't want to feel like I am safe, I want to be safe.

Also, most people live in relatively small geographic areas. That same logic can apply anywhere. Your point is?

Also also, you may know that Scandinavia is my favorite political place, and I wish that many aspects of our government were like theirs. Just saying.
I know you got sidetracked Comrade, but please answer to this.
7/19/2018 3:16 PM
Most people in the US feel safe and more so than in Europe. We have more crime because we have more people than individual European countries. If you like Scandinavia so much you should move there. Seems simple.

A Jewish Mennonite eh? Because she is opining on something she knows nothing about. It was from an interview. Listen to the Monday Ben Shapiro podcast and hear it for yourself as he laughs at her ignorance. There are Jews who anti Israel. About 1%...you're one of them. Which is fine.
