We were dating back in 1999. She wasn't much of a sports fan but she's an "event" fan. She'd never been to a professional football game. So, the Thursday before the weekend playoff games, I decided to see if there were any available tickets to one of the Saturday games(business was good back then). I didn't really expect there to be, and since she wasn't a fan I wasn't paying scalper prices, but Atlanta had available tickets. So I bought them. We go to ATL. The worst ice storm to hit ATL in a million years also arrived in ATL that Saturday morning. Our hotel was within walking distance but it was about 12 degrees so we hop in the car. Took us about 3 hours to go 2 miles. I could tell she wasn't looking forward to the game. She kept adding clothes in the car. Looked like the Michelin man by the time we arrived. We finally find somewhere to park before I wreck on the ice. As we're walking up, I can tell by the look on her face that she's not looking forward to the expected 3+ hours of game. We go in, she notices it's not 12 degrees, looks up and says "THEY HAVE A DOME!!!! I LOVE THE FALCONS!!!!" And she chose them as her team that day.
