Suppan shelled in game 2, Parra walks the pitcher with the bases loaded (and the next batter too for good measure) in game 3. YAY.

We'll give you Matt Cain and Edgar Renteria for JJ Hardy and Prince Fielder
10/1/2009 4:38 PM
Dude, you don't even need to include Edgar Renteria in that deal. Except you don't get Fielder.
10/1/2009 4:54 PM
Not to be outdone, Axford has also walked the pitcher with the bases loaded.

You're still following the Brewers?!?!?!!?!?

Jeff Suppan may start Sunday on short rest to keep his streak of seasons with 30+ starts intact.

Brilliant.

Opposing batters have an OPS of .896 against Suppan this year. Which is higher than Evan Longoria's OPS.

So, you'd rather face a lineup full of Evan Longorias than have Soup on the mound for your team.

19nevah!

LOL. .896 against OPS!

Brewers rally from big deficit to stomp the Cards, 12-6.

damn you, kermit.

Brewers get fantastic work from bullpen, hold on for 5-4 win over the Cards. Braunie homers in the first for his 200th hit of the season, first Brewer to reach that mark since Paul Molitor in 1991.

Larussa pulled a bush league move walking Fielder in the 10th inning of a meaningless game with the RBI title and hitting 300 on the line for Fielder.
10/4/2009 6:14 PM
They still play baseball in Milwaukee?

The Brewers announced that Macha will return next season, with an option for 2011. Which seems like a huge mistake all around. Most coaches will be back, with exception of interim pitching coach Chris Bosio. Speculation focuses on Rick Peterson, who worked with Macha in Oakland.

More news: Trevor Hoffman indicated that he and the club are deep into discussions about him returning next season. I guess he likes playing for a loser.
