Whatever.

Its even more hilarious watching you try to back track and claim that aintheb and arss aren't the same person...you adjusted this post, but lucky I quoted it, thus its there...where's your white flag?

Also, I schedule rather difficult non conference schedules.

Third, the conference had several other players who moved on.

Fourth - I actually have gotten to several 16's and an eight, so its not as if I'm just beating up sims, getting to the NT and getting creamed. "

SO you have given up trying to address the points?

And as far as the arguments, what difference would it make anyway?

The only thing it would mean would be MORE experience to speak from.

Show me something I haven't addressed.

You've still got a plateful...are you going to finally give up the jig that aintheb and arss aren't the same person when clearly they are? Why anyone would deny an alias is beyond me, and that brings into question serious character issues as well. FWIW, my aliai are $$$, statsink, and kgb_sickle (where I went 22-7 in HD).

The only thing it would mean would be MORE experience to speak from. I know and have shown through PROCESSING RANKINGS that you can have a solid ranking system if the entire ranking system and SOS concepts are completely different. You're saying if you do it that way, it doesn't work. My CFBs are in the top 20% correlation this season (24 out of 125) and my CBBs had the best ranking violation percentage last year www.masseyratings.com I'm not as mathematically gifted as the Sagarins and Masseys out there, however I say you can be simple and very efficient and that's what I aim for and it works for me. The proof is in the pudding.

So you are using actual ratings for your college football ratings? How are you pulling them from the real life teams, since thats the only part being addressed.

Since you lack simple comprehension skills, I've said time and again that my real life rankings use W-L and SOS just as any real life ranking system does. Text and video games are special exception, or should be at least, because they use concrete ratings for their players and that's a wrinkle you don't see in the real sports world...so I say, why not use it?

I did an interesting little bit of research re: overall rating:

There are half a dozen sim teams that have better overall ratings than my Montana squad (back-to-back Elite 8's, top 25 til loss last night, top 20 rpi last four seasons, and no, I don't have any walk-ons). There are another 10 or so sim teams that have ratings that are equal or very comparable/slightly worse (within about 10-15 pts).

My friend colonels would have you believe that beating these sim teams would be equally as impressive as beating my team.

In addition, I have the 4th best overall team rating in my own division. This despite the fact that I've lost exactly one division game in three seasons (and it's not an easy conference; we were #3 rpi and sent six teams to the NT last season).

colonels, using overall team rating as the only (or even primary) measure of SOS is inherently flawed. There's just no way around it.
