I find it fascinating that people get so worked up about this stuff. The schedule is the schedule, and if you miss your slot, you get skipped, and you're in danger of getting a lesser talent. If you're lucky enough to get an "end of day" time, you get a grace period ... if you don't, you don't. We all agree to these rules when the draft starts. If you're into it enough to follow it closely, you won't ever miss a pick. If you miss one and get skipped, it's on you. So there's really no reason to get pi$$ed at anyone for being late ... it just is what it is.
All I care about is that nobody bails in midstream (which would truly suck), and that people put their teams in quickly after the draft ends. That said, if anyone has a better idea for a draft process, let's hear it.
