I've always assumed + took away a hit or an extra base(meaning it turned a double into a single) and ++ turned an extra base hit into an out.   But that doesn't make it so.

Not yet.   I think most rational folks have forgotten about him.   But there's always going to be a jerk out there that brings him up and busts his balls.

I like higher range at 2B.   3B/RF for me. 

4 years.   55/125/195/280.    Any single year is 55.  Two consecutive years, 125, three consecutive years, 195.   Four consecutive years, 280.    I found that single year minimums created a race to the bottom.   Consecutive years would allow tankers to yo-yo(55/70/55/70).   Three might work but teams could still yo-yo a bit(55/70/70/55) and never really compete.   4 is the bomb and, quite frankly, asking owners to not average 92+ losses over 4 seasons doesn't seem ridiculous.
