The “poor” have IPhones and wear Nikes.
Cell phones and shoes are relatively inexpensive and necessary to function in American society. Things like real estate (rent), health coverage, and child care are very, very expensive. Don't be dumb (I know that's asking a lot of you).
Cell phones aren't necessary.
They basically are in today's world. When was the last time you saw a working payphone?

There were exemptions in there for people who already have jobs.
I think we should beat poor people with canes. That way they won't want to be poor anymore.

That's not what I said.

Putting in a requirement to do community service to get medicaid is dumb. Poor people's lives are hard enough as is and it's health care. I'm OK with attaching vocational training to welfare checks. But don't **** around with someone's health coverage.

The 7 is the second newest model (8 and X came out the same year).

You can get a 6 on ebay for less than $100.

Right but isn’t the plan more expensive for an iPhone than a flip phone? My folks are on my plan and my moms basic flip phone is less costly than the smart phones.

You can do a smartphone plan for $30 a month with discount carriers.
