I don't even know what "the media" means. Donald Trump is one person who is not trusted by the vast majority of Americans. "The media" is thousands of people. Sean Hannity is the media, so is Alex Jones, so is Amy Goodman, so is Glenn Greenwald, so is Seymour Hersh, so is everyone at Breitbart and everyone at The New Yorker, Fox News, CNN, PBS, etc. If you ask me do I trust or distrust all of them, how should I respond? How would you respond?
I would respond I don't trust anyone in the media. They all have agendas. They all get paid by someone.
so, if you get paid for doing your job, you can't be trusted to do it properly?
Depends on who's paying you and what they are demanding.
and you know what is demanded from "the media"?
Yes. Their editors and producers tell them what to talk about and what to not talk about. They also frame 'how' to talk about it. Don't play dumb Wylie. Wikileaks proved the media was providing the Clinton campaign editing rights before articles were published as well as questions to the debates. Trump just pointed out that there's evidence the liberal networks were reluctant to report on the Clinton/Lynch plane meeting.
I don't doubt editors and producers tell their people what they want reported. My boss tells me what to do. That's why he is my boss. It works on both sides. Liberal leaning media outlets report stuff that fits their views, and conservative leaning outlets reports stuff that fits their views. There may be s few media outlets that are unbiased, but I'm not aware of who they are.

edit - also, while there's no doubt that reporters are given guidelines, what I meant was there's no way you, or anyone else besides the reporters and their editors, know exactly what those guidelines are.
Exactly ... It's that BIAS that makes the media less trustworthy than Trump. Bigly.

Why would anyone trust CNN after what wikileaks revealed, or trust the stand up folks at Fox who harass any woman who appears on their network? Only a blind idiot trusts the media these days. Are you a blind idiot? Is crazystengel?
crazystengel may be a blind idiot. I have no idea. He is Canadian, so anything is possible. I am neither blind nor an idiot. I don't trust the media, but I also don't trust Mr Trump. It's a close one as to who I trust less. The difference is, the media is not POTUS. Trump is, so his untrustworthiness worries me a lot more.

It's literally impossible for Trump to have changed our nuclear arsenal in 6 months. Alarming thing to lie about.

The review of our arenal is still under way. We aren't one iota stronger or weaker in regards to our nuclear arsenal than when Dump took office.

Bald-faced liar

Your Trump supporter character's argument seems to be:

"Everyone lies, including every president and everyone in the media, therefore Trump's not worse than anyone else in terms of trustworthiness."

This Trump supporter character is the funniest thing in the Non Sports forum.

He drew red lines in the sand and didn't follow through. Over 100 million guns sold under his term despite him telling you guns are bad. He'd say the wealthy are bad yet they were the ONLY people that gained wealth during his term.... And now obama himself is giving $400k speeches, that's precious. You trusted Obama to handle North Korea and now they have ICBMs equipped with nuclear warheads that can reach mainland USA..... Speaking of nukes... My God, you trusted Obama to give Iran and enormous amount of money, lift sanctions, and give lots of leeway for them to develop nuclear capability. For me, the results matter.

Give me an ******* that produces results over a nice guy that accomplishes very little any day of the week.

Time will tell for Trump if he produces results. Obama's time is up and there's very little to show for it other than some great speeches.

Did you trust Obama? He was POTUS too. Did his untrustworthiness worry you too?

The dude ran as a uniter and ended up being a divider. Black v White, BLM v Cops, Rich v Poor, Dems v Reps, the list goes on.
I didn't trust Obama either although I trusted him more than I trust Trump. Obama didn't spend all his time sending out stupid tweets or denigrating the "fake media" either. At least Obama gave the appearance of trying to govern. Trump gives the appearance of only being out for himself and being an idiot.
For me, the results matter.

okay, once I see Trump producing results I'll reconsider. So far all he has produced is a bunch of idiotic tweets and hot air.
