Evidently he does not.  I didn't fact-check his question either.

He may but I think that applies to about 65 of the bowls.   But they're not pointless to the participants.

Is CC going to opt out?
If so where is he going to end up?
10/31/2011 11:46 AM
I'm pretty sure he will.   He may end up back with the Yankees under a 6-7 year deal making more than 23m a year.    If he opts out, I hope they send him packing.  A-Roid's opt out should have taught them a lesson.    CC has a lot of miles on his arm.

So how would you rank the top 5 free agents this year?

I would put CC at the top over Albert
10/31/2011 11:52 AM

The top 4 have to be CC, Pujols, Reyes and Fielder.   It's a little muddled to rank them because Pujols/Fielder are the only two who bring a similar skill set.  And all 4 have warts in my opinion.

With LaRussa retiring, is Terry Francona the logical successor? After all, we already know he doesn't mind a little alcohol in the clubhouse.

If CC opts out and Yankees don't resign him, what's your guess on the rotation for next year?

Does that look like a rotation that competes for a championship?

Which of any of the Big Name Free Agents will end up in Chicago with Theo?

How much value do you see in Cliff Hosmer? My other options are Acevedo, Alverado and to a lesser extent Lampkin. Help me sort out my catching situation.
10/31/2011 1:15 PM
One would think.   Francona and Anhueser-Busch seems like a match made in heaven.

My guess would be putrid.   Garcia and Colon are FA also.   Nova, Hughes, Burnett and who knows.
No but 4/92m should be enough for that fat bastard.   I hope he opts out and has to crawl back like A-Roid did(and the Yanks don't make him richer when he does).

I really think Pujols in going to wear Cub blue.   If not him, Fielder.

Good lord, that's horrible.  Hosmer is a roster expansion/playoff roster kind of guy.   You can't carry him all year unless you have an 80+ DUR catcher to pair with him.   Acevedo is a D-replacement type.   You can only carry someone like him if you can short your pitching staff all season.  Alverado's pitch-calling is unacceptable but he's an 80+ DUR kind of guy.  Lampkin is another low DUR guy.   With those 4 options, I use Alverado as my starter with a quick pull and Hosmer as his back-up if not Lampkin.   Ideally, I'd want to carry Hosmer, Acevedo and Alverado on an AL team or Lampkin, Hosmer and Alverado on a NL team.

K right now I am carrying Hosemer, Acevedo and Alverado but I am looking to add another bat to the bench.

Thanks for the help?

If you have to dump one to make room, it has to be Acevado.   You're welcome.

Which is a bigger violation in this thread...to make a comment like kneeneighbor did and just add a question mark at the end, or to actually treat it like a question and provide an answer like you did?
10/31/2011 4:53 PM
I just answer questions so it must be kneeneighbor.
