Pitchers John Halama and Chris Capuano have been signed to minor league deals. Probably not a good thing if either of those guys end up taking the mound for the major league club next year.

The Brewers did not offer arbitration to any of their Type B free agents, which is understandable in the cases of Cameron, Kendall, Looper and Weathers, but seems stupid in the case of Felipe Lopez, who made only $3.5M last season and seems certain to pursue a multi-year deal elsewhere.

The Crew adds yet another catcher to the mix, signing 38-year old Gregg Zaun to a one-year deal with option for 2011 and $2.15M guaranteed.

Not sure I like this deal but he's got to be better than Kendall.
