I think in 1 or 2 more seasons the draft is going to be totally irrelevant because our players will be so much better.
It's never going to be irrelevant to me because it's the only place I can add players. They just may not play a lot their first few seasons while training 'em up to real NHN standards.

But I can't even sign a 50 overall or $300K from the free agent list if I need a body.
Eventually we are going to drop the cap though and when we do its going to be all about the FAs.

could have really used the bug day off for a little r&r.  now it's a game time decision who will start in goal.  if brain would just fax me his starting lineup for tonight it would make life much easier...

I'm thinking Bobak.

Could get burned. Could be another Gilyard shows up in the free agency pool. Could be his stamina is 13. The glove and stick numbers are combined numbers so he could suck and I just can't see it yet.

But I'll draft him and see.
BASTARD!

DAMN YOU SPEEDY!  Capponi was my #1.I'd wish his stamina were higher, but that's a full-grown man.

I had Olcott 6th, would've deployed him as a checking winger/PKer. Nice get by Caps.

GREGOS throws a dart and hits the bullseye. I don't know what he's got his training/scouting up to, but that's a great pick. I didn't even have Engram on my board, mostly because I need another LH forward like I need a hole in the head, but PASS-86, and faceoff/attitude/stamina 70+/70+/70+ is an awesome get at that point in the draft.

He's a tank...by far my #1. Have no idea how he ended up this low. I guess everyone was looking offense or special abilities.

DUDE, with all the injuries I have, everybody who's healthy is playing except Sahli.

What the **** do I do wrong in the draft? Only 2 of my 5 picks have been good ones. The other 3 have for the most part sucked (Lorenzini was decent, but wanted more money than I was willing to give him, so I let him go a few days ago).

stop letting guys go.  i will trade cash for your scrubs

the overall is actually  a pretty good guideline as to what the guy's passing, faceoff, attitude and stamina are going to be.

then, the formula is pretty simple, forwards: the key attributes are, in order, offense, speed and shot. defensemen it's defense, strength and speed, in that order.

Offense, defense, shot power and shot accuracy go up thru BOTH practice and games, so a guy with even decent potential will progress in those categories.

Speed, strength, passing, faceoff, attitude and stamina are pretty much a case of either got it or don't, because they go up more slowly - only through practice.

pay attention brain the puck has dropped

seriously, I'd have bought Lorenzini from you too. The only thing wrong with him was his stamina. His 80 defense will get there sooner or later w/83 potential.
