I have several reasons.
Bush1's huge strategic mistake in Iraq.
Bush1's increase in the National debt. (as a pct. it soared like no one prior to him)
Bush1's lack of vision.

W is kind of like Joe Walsh...... the great Guitar Player and current member of the Eagles.
Joe only got drunk once.........but it lasted 25 years or something.
W only made 1 mistake......... and he made it over and over and over.
Beginning with his choice of Dick(wad) Cheney. He (over) depended on lame operatives left over from his Dad's admin. and long time Republican PARTY operatives.
HE (W) hamstrung himself with OLD thinking and old white guys and NO new outside the box compadres.
He surrounded himself with mediocre (at best!) operatives with tiny minds and huge obligations to the Party!
One mistake, Over and over.
But, he managed to find a way to bring us together after 911. No POTUS since has been able to do that!
And, finally, W had the humility to realize and accept that HIS economy was about to crash BIGLY, and HE listened and cooperated with the NEW Democratic (incoming) admin. to halt the collapse and solve the underlying (banking) issues and turn the economy around nearly immediately under Obama.
Bush2 should get BIG props in my mind for putting the company ahead of Party in that crisis!!

Just my 2 cents.

I thought papa bush was a reasonable president.
