Starters blking- SMM

pg: 33- superior

sg 27- great

sf 29- avg

C 57- Superior/Great

C 63- Superior/great

While team blocking avg is just above the rest of the league at 32, these starters average closer to 41/42 which just might explain their fg%. Admin has stated that blking affects the abilty to "alter" shots as well- so this might be it.

The end all is that the gap between the top and the bottom closed, but not as much as I predicted. I certainly didn't see Goucher going 16-0 in conference. But I think that's got to be the 8 juniors and seniors at work... Goucher going .500 or better from the field was a regular occurence throughout the year. It eliminated the need for stellar rebounding- giving use to the adage, "there is more than one way to skin a cat." Catholic was Catholic, but in my opinion, has lost a step... literally. Just look at our respective rosters and you will see the importance I place on ath/spd compared to Andrew. And this is the lowest I've seen a Catholic team in this area since I've been in the conference... of couse, Catholic is playing for a tournament championship and I am busy writing this. I was also surprised by Mary Washington. I thought they would have had a little bit more success. But again, here you have the IQ issue. If I remember correctly, MW has no seniors. Marymount's team is much younger than I realized. They have a final four team when their sophomore's mature.
I missed this the first time as well. I certainly hope you are correct, but am already worried about my interior defense holding me back from making a big run. We'll see-- hopefully we are at least an NT team this cominf season, and have a shot to make a run the following year.

We wish a fond farewell to Travis Albright & Cliff Camp, and a good riddance to the (failed) low WE experiment that was Jesse Porter...

Had quite a few guys lose STA and regain that same amount in DU, which seems strange since they are both so Conditioning-related. Overall, not too remarkable.

Well, McCabe, you may be right. I think Deshazo is now the best player to don the York green. He improved a whopping 29 points in the offseason. The rest of the team didn't have great growth, but I'll take it.

An interesting trend - at least on York - was less SPD/ATH growth than in offseasons past.

I hope so. I'm curious to see if he's as good as he should be. I actually think he won't be. I thought he underperformed last year, considering his SPD/ATH edge over other bigs. We'll see.

Swanson, my stud PG, made the biggest leap by far. He also happens to have my highest WE. Thing is, he's not my highest WE guy by much. Rest didn't improve much at all. And a lot of those improvements came in DU. Definitely the least productive offseason in my time at the Hood. Swanson should at least be great though.

Nice work, France. That's gotta be the highest # of 600 players, 500 players, and REB yet. This should be a strong year for the CAC.
