I don't pay attention to anyone else's minors.

There's a lot of people at failt in the Penn State scandal, but should Joe Pa lose his job over it?
11/8/2011 9:48 PM
Yes.  He should be given the opportunity to step down and, for the good of the program, he should take that opportunity.  The situation is a nightmare and Penn State should clean house of anyone who knew of the situation.    This isn't a "pay for play", free shoes or stolen computers situation.   This is one of the most heinous crimes an individual can commit and no one stood up to stop it.  Doing what you're "legally bound" to do just doesn't seem like nearly enough.

JoePa = morally equivalent to a pedophile or no?
11/9/2011 10:21 AM

No.   He's being demonized just a bit for being a 72 year old man who witnessed nothing, passed on what he was told and did nothing beyond that.  IF he was part of some big cover-up, and not just an old man that didn't want to involve himself and his university in a scandal, that's another story.  I'd like to believe he was just an old football coach who just wanted to coach football while not believing his long-time assistant was a pedophile.   And then assumed, because the higher-ups did nothing, that the charges were unfounded. That doesn't let him off the hook for not following up but it does explain his inaction to an extent.

So now Joe Pa is retiring, effective at the end of this season.  How can he effectively coach the remaining games with this hanging over him?
11/9/2011 11:59 AM
He's been insulated from the media for years by the university.   I don't see that changing over the next two months.    I'm still not sure that he'll be around for the remainder of the season.   That's what he announced.  Doesn't mean everyone is on board with it.    Seems like this may be a pre-emptive strike in an attempt to go out on his terms.

you're starting a new NFL franchise- how many QB's do you take ahead of tebow?
11/9/2011 12:46 PM
You won't like or believe my answer but I'll go by division:
Sanchez, Rapelisberger, McCoy(iffy), Rivers(probably), Manning, Romo, Rodgers, Ryan, Freeman(iffy) and Bradford.

My logic:  The QB needs to be around in season 4 because I probably don't have much of a team before then.  So I eliminated the older QB right of the rip.  I cut Stafford because of injury and Newton because I hate him.  Cutler has taken too many hits already and he's a *****.  I didn't take any of the rookies because I'm not sure what any of them have other than the hated Newton.  I think the rest speak for themselves.  And, if Tebow doesn't work out, he'll take the beating for three seasons while I work Plan B and draw the Jesus freaks to the stadium to watch Tebow walk on water.

So that's Eli Manning in your list?
11/9/2011 4:46 PM
Where would JaMarcus rate?
11/9/2011 4:46 PM
Yes, it's Eli.  I said I was going by division.  FIGURE IT OUT!!!!

I only included current NFL QB.    But I'd put Jamarcus, Favre and Slingin' Sammy Baugh in the same group.

Who's worse, Michael Jackson or Jerry Sandusky?

And why do people cheer when the doctor that killed Michael Jackson is found guilty?

Are they saying that pedophilia is OK if you have zillions of dollars and your own theme park?
11/9/2011 8:03 PM
How is Mikey's trucking business?
11/9/2011 8:56 PM
When it comes to worse, I'm not sure there is a "worse" brand of pedophilia.

I don't think he qualifies as a "good" person either.

Everybody loves a theme park.

We're trucking.
