if the lousy Jets offense can put up 30+ on the Bears D, the Pack should drop 50
and, yes, GB is a dangerous playoff team
But you would have thought they would put up points in the first game but didn't. Though the Bears pass D has been terrible in 2 of the last 3 games, the run defense has been solid.
GB on paper is one of those teams that everyone expects to make a run, happens every year - if they don't get a running game going, a lot of "experts" are gonna be left with egg on their faces.
The Packers wont try to run. Maybe 15-20 carries. That means 45-55 dropbacks for Rodgers. If the Bears get the same pressure on Rodgers that they got on Brady and Sanchez, they are in for a world of hurt. Their secondary is not stellar. Their linebackers are awesome. Peppers has to dominate like he did in the first half of the season. If he doesnt.... look for many Lambeau Leaps.
And yes. On paper, GB looks awesome. But remember.... they lost their leading tackler and defensive playcaller for the season in Barnett. They lost their all-pro TE for the season. They lost their 1200yd rusher for the season. They lost their starting LT (who protects the blind side) in Tauscher for the season. They lost Rodgers for essentially a game and a half. They lost Driver for 4 games. They lost Bigby for 8 games. Not many teams would still be in a position for postseason with all those losses. Even with all those injuries, they lost 6 games by a grand total of 20 points. As Driver, Bigby and Rodgers now come back, they look very very good. For the life of me, I dont know how they didnt go after Marshawn Lynch earlier in the season. Because you are right. If they cant run in the postseason, it could hurt them. Not because they wont score. They will. They wont be able to run out the clock as effectively. Ask the 90s Houston Oilers.
