I don't know that he makes that size post-flop bet with AA. At that point, he'd still think he was ahead of a huge percentage of your range, so he'd either check-raise or bet smaller (like 40-50% pot).

How is aa different form jj here? Only qq comes
into play and my line is about impossible to be qq?
12/4/2009 1:10 PM
Ok AA is a threat to jj as well but still unlikely.
12/4/2009 1:13 PM
Because AA is AA and JJ isn't.

In other words, the difference is that with AA he WOULD still think he was ahead of a huge % of your range, and with JJ he SHOULD still think that.

Also, and maybe I'm wrong about this, I think with AA he's thinking "I'm ahead and should stay ahead," while with JJ he's thinking "I'm ahead but would like to take it down now if possible."
12/4/2009 1:16 PM
I think if he plays with that mindset he's not folding to the push with jj.

Is he darvin moon (when lying to his wife) that he knew he was ahead but didn't want to get drawn out on?
12/4/2009 1:19 PM
That was great.

But I don't see why he wouldn't fold with the JJ there. Your shove is a powerful move there. No reason for him not to think he's likely beat. He certainly could find a call, but he doesn't have to.

I think JJ is a reasonable holding for him, but I also think he was dumb (a) for folding it, and (b) telling you what he had.

I suppose it depends on your table image, but only a boring straightforward (or weak) player would push with a King. Why not simply flat-call and pounce on the turn? I'd read a push right there as being a sooted Ace-rag or a baby pair (which would explain your limp-and-call).

First I don't believe it was JJ I think it was AQ or a smaller mid pair where a call would still be a flip against overs.

I think a flat call leaves me with less then a pot size bet . I could see flat calling with the K but I also dont mind pushing if I did have the K knowing a big hand probably calls cause the board isnt that scary.

yup, I'll be there.

Is anyone playing in the Mini warm-up on Sunday?

I may play a lot tonight, especially late. Got my Christmas bonus today, and it was double what I was expecting, so I'm considering giving myself a Christmas present of $100 of full tilt money so I have something to work with.

I've qualified hoping to remember to play.

Goal in sng madness is to at least win 2 so I can get in freeroll.

Sunday I'll be out drinking and watching my Redskins get smoked.

your reverse jinxamacation tactics are way off these days.
