One pitch. If you're not familiar, each batter sees one pitch. Hit, out or walk. No fouls. Entire series can be played in 2 hours. Rosters will be trimmed to 15 and, due to the union fighting for jobs, MLB will expand to 78 teams. 18 will be overseas. The season will start in May and complete sometime in late July.
How about this: when there's nobody on base, the batter has the option of running the bases clockwise or counter-clockwise when he puts the ball in play. Once a direction is chosen, subsequent hitters have to follow the same direction as long as there are runners on base. Once the bases are empty again, it reverts back to batter's choice.
Sounds like something Bud would endorse, right?
