Gamel for Brandon Morrow talks may be heating up again.

I am not too impressed with Gamel but I'd like to think he'd be part of a package to get something better than Brandon "Ball Four" Morrow.

I like Morrow - he's going to be better than it seems most are giving him credit for. That said, if we get Gamel for him (a position of need, and -handed bat with some pop in Safeco) after everything else that Jack has done this offseason, I might offer to paint his house a different color every week.

Gamel = head case

Please take Brandon Morrow so we can close the chapter on Bill Bavasi & perhaps make us forget that we drafted him over Lincecum.

We'd all all have forgotten long ago if you didn't bring it up every hour on the hour. The weed here isn't nearly good enough for him, anyway.

Rosenthal says it is a near certainty that the Brewers will sign one of Doug Davis, Jon Garland, or Jarrod Washburn.

Peter Gammons floated something about Johnny Damon signing with "one of the Midwest teams like Minnesota or Milwaukee" during the Dan Patrick show this morning... which makes me think he's going senile at a record pace.

Omar Aguilar outrighted and removed from 40-man roster.. the roster was full prior to this move.. not sure if this move presages an acquisition.

Jody Gerut ($2M), Rickie Weeks (unknown) and Carlos Gomez (unknown) have agreed to contracts for 2010, avoiding arbitration hearings.

Corey Hart, Dave Bush, Todd Coffey and Carlos Villanueva have not come to agreements yet.

Brewers have reportedly agreed on a deal with Doug Davis that could pay Davis $6.5M this season if he stays healthy, with an option for 2011 ($1M buyout).

I like it.
