16th overall... better than my call of 2nd overall... but I would have been happy for 14th overall and an 8th place finish

Interesting tidbit about Vigneault's strategy vs. the Kings...

"Simmonds-Handzus-Modin line are expected to get matched up with the Sedin line. Vigneault says he will not try to avoid that matchup. - TSN"

That's been a very good shutdown line all season for the Kings. It'll be interesting to see how long the coach sticks to his plan of not avoiding the matchup if the Sedins come out flat in game 1.

..

If Henrik and Danial disappear again, its time to move them in the off season,do we really want to be the Canadian version of Joe Thornton and the Sharks?..the goal is to win the cup not put up great regular seasons..

Luongo needs to prove he can win in crunch time,Kings have guys that can score and Luongo will be tested,if he flops around and gives up 3 goals on 8 shots again ,like he's been doing lately ,time for him to go as well..give Schneider the goaltending reins

Bieksa needs to punish people ,quit playing like a *****, like J-Bo in Calgary

Demitra needs to play like he's playing for the Slovaks

somebody has to just hammer Kopitar in game one and keep it up all series, let the marshmallow know this is going to be a tough series

The problem for the Canucks D is that they're already hurting, and the Kings have some forwards that will really punish them like Dustin Brown, Wayne Simmonds and Ryan Smyth. If this series gets in the 6-7 game range, it'll be interesting to see if the Canucks D wears down.

This is Simple,Vancouver wins if Luongo doesnt lose any games and the Sedins show up ..Vancouver wins and L.A. has nothing they can do about it..

Don't short change LA...They are a much better team than people realize.

so are the Preds,i wouldnt be surprised at all if they take down the Hawks
4/16/2010 12:14 AM
Agreed, even though I think the Kings are a little bit better than the Preds because of their superior offense, the Preds are definitely a tough team to play against.

That being said, I think if the Canucks D was fully healthy, I would see this matchup a little differently.

By the way, Alex Edler is playing like a man possessed tonight. He almost took Drew Doughty's head off just now.
